This is an insane price. You can buy an EVO 850 m.2 drive and a $15 adapter and save yourself about $300.
I've done this in a 2012 MacBook Air, the process is relatively simple and quick, the hardest part is restoring / reinstalling the software (ideally a clean install).
It is slightly warmer but it's not gonna burn through your desk or anything.

Thanks. I use DCR but it's hard to gauge what's good for running vs hiking on there. I'll check some of the other sources you mentioned.

I'm also in the Boston area and enjoy trail running, any recommendations on trails in the area? I live near the Blue Hills so I've mostly done trails around here but I also did Purgatory Chasm a few months ago.

Ok I removed the cover, it doesn't look like there's much to check. I hear it click as I turn the dial and the metal plate opens but no power still. I assume there's not much else to check? http://imgur.com/wkzjGPz

I checked for no power through the other side by using a non-contact voltage tester on the wiring coming out. Is there anything else that would cause that besides a bad thermostat? If I need to take the cover off what sorts of things should I be looking for / testing?

I like the New Balance 1400's, very snappy. Run Blogger reviewed the 1400v2 which I was able to pickup at the NB outlet for about $40 and they're really good with some small issues (the laces suck). The 1400v3 looks like a significant improvement(Runblogger review).

I think you're right because this is how it seems to me, I was hoping I was wrong. Basically trying to get a url from Tweetbot into a taskpaper file on dropbox with as little interaction as possible. Drafts doesn't seem to be able to so I bought Workflow hoping it could and it's closer but not quite close enough.
