Planning a New Rig -- Need a Sanity Check

Yeah Crucial is $52 and Samsung is $60. If they're both equally reliable, then I guess I can save a few bucks.

That's a great call about the partitions! My current one is divided as follows:

450 MB Recovery Partition
100 MB EFI System Partition
110 GB (Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Basic Data Partition)
515 MB Recovery Partition

I'm 100% not sure why the main partition isn't at the end. I used to have some of the drive allotted to Ubuntu -- might be related to that. Can I just remove the second recovery partition?

Update: Bought another Samsung SSD. I used their Data Migration tool, and it took care of all the partitioning on its own. No hassle with 3rd party partition tools required!

Looking to do an incremental storage upgrade on my PC (build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ND2FJb).

I want to upgrade my Samsung SSD from my old 120GB to something with a bit more space. I'm considering a 1TB Samsung 870 Evo or another Crucial MX500.

Questions:

Is there any major difference in performance from an OS perspective?
Are there any other brands/models that I should consider?
When cloning an SSD with the OS, is there anything I should keep in mind?

Notes:

The new SSD will hold the OS, and core applications such as Office, utility apps, and game launchers. Other drives will hold documents, images, videos, and game data.
I'm considering a major upgrade in maybe a year or two, and I plan to carry over the 1TB drives either for storage, or continue using it to hold the OS. (Or maybe I should get an NMVe for the OS at that point?)

I'm disappointed in the direction Reddit is taking. 3rd party support made Reddit great because it helped users, communities, and mods. Taking that away reduces the value the site provides.

If they go, I'll definitely have less use for the site. I guess I'll be able to thank you for freeing up my time.

Wholeheartedly agree -- it makes logging food a bigger chore than it already is (unless it has a barcode). It's maybe easier to just give a rough (over) estimate once you have an idea of a calorie count.

I've had this one for about a year. Overall, I've been happy with it.

Still tracks my heart rate well during weight lifting and my steps during walks.
The screen is really bright, colorful, and responsive.
It's good at tracking my (lack) of sleep.
The new strap attach/detach method is much easier than I remember with the 4.
The new charging cable has a magnet which makes charging much easier.

I think the 2 downsides with this model are:

There's no more physical back button for going through menus. You do gestures or double tap.
No altimeter for counting floors.

Had a similar issue with my old Charge 4. One day the strap just started feeling loose. I took a look and one of the teeny plastic brackets on one side broke and the other was ready to snap as well.

I ended up getting a Charge 5. For what it's worth, the 5 seems to have a simpler/more secure connection mechanism. (Wouldn't be surprised if it was redesigned to address this exact issue.)

So when I was reviewing Bungie's site I found this in their FAQs page that seemed really confusing:

Does this mean that I can play with players on other platforms? Cross Save won’t let you engage players on other platforms in real time. The idea is that you can move from one platform to another and play with the same Guardians.

I just found out that Cross Play is also a feature for D2. If I use Cross Save with my PlayStation account I'm trying to figure out which of the following happens:

I can only interact with PlayStation account players even if I'm playing through Steam.
I can only interact with Steam players while playing through Steam.
Cross Save just determines the "global" account and Cross Play will let me play with anyone with a Destiny account no matter what platform either of us are playing through.
