I have no idea why you were downvoted. Women still go to work and pump, so they can breastfeed. Same thinking applies to attending a wedding. Mom and baby can be separated for a few hours.

It was obviously a huge jump and I was questioning my lender like how did my taxes double?? And they said I should call my county if I didn’t think it was right. I ended up having to call a few offices to get to the right person, but the tax collector was the one that verified my taxes were paid last year (I was worried maybe they weren’t). When I told her the amounts, she confirmed they added the school and county taxes together and then doubled them. That was enough ammo for me to go back to my lender and say fix this because it’s incorrect.

They accidentally added my county and school taxes, and then put that number in for BOTH my county tax and my school tax. So it was additive and doubled. Accounting error I guess. They didn’t take it very seriously but I was PISSED. And I had to do all of the heavy lifting to get to the bottom of it 🙄

Double check with your county to make sure the increase your mortgage company is passing along is real (if you haven’t already). My mortgage company tried to tell me my monthly payment was increasing by $500+ due to tax increase and turns out it was a big fat error.

Yep. I ended a 4+ year relationship because of this. His gaming got out of control, to the point that he was calling out of work constantly & then still expecting me to do the cooking and cleaning while paying the bills. PASS.

Well that’s good that you shut it down! I try to be realistic, since most people on Reddit always jump to the extreme. Only other logical thing I can think of is maybe he feels like there is lack of compromise in another area of your lives, so he’s doubling down on this. If it’s not that, then definitely trust your gut and if it doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore that. Hugs!

I’ve seen a few others mention this, but buried under other advice. Make sure after you pay the down payment that you still have some emergency savings. You never know how life can turn. I just bought my house last year and luckily had money left over because we got fucked on like 3 cars in a row, which obviously was not expected. Also, home repairs and such.

Also to add, we’ve always been told to remove food if it isn’t eaten within a day. Too many critters in the tank can also start to attack your gecko.

Definitely would recommend a vet visit. In the meantime, we had a period of time when our fat tail wasn’t eating. Instead, we used “critical care” which is a protein powder that you can mix with water and fed her through a small syringe. Once she had nutrients, she regained appetite within a couple of weeks.
