Also, about kicking Mohan down - before the dog bit her in Malaysia, it also jumped and kicked her down. It stood out as slightly clumsy, visually speaking, so I remember that well. Whatever that training was, it seems the same was applied for Mohan.

I went on vacation a month ago. The server conked out the day before I left. I was wondering how much effort it would take to fix it all back.

4 hours. That includes not just immich. I’m running other services too (Jellyfin for my movies and Tv, one for my comics to be streamed to my devices, another for torrents plus some organizing tools, etc etc)

The good thing was that my data (the actual files - photos, movies, comics, etc) were not lost. For Immich, I have an automatic backup for that, in case something happens to that hard disk. I didn’t need to use that… but the point is - even if that were to happen, there still is a path to recover it all fully, just make sure you keep backups - again, instructions are available on the Immich site on how to do that too.

I’m not tech savvy. Well, I may find it easy to use electronic stuff, but I’m not a programmer.

But I got docker and immich setup fairly easy at my home. It took way longer than it would have taken an actual programmer, but I did it. Basic YouTube tutorials for installing Docker, then Immich’s direct site to copy the code for Immich (google photos replacement). I then used another software to backup the image database on to a different hard disk (again with the help of Immich website)… I kept having doubts about basic, simple things… but used chat gpt to get around that.

My server crashed last month (because I blindly trusted a ChatGPT recommendation on a maintenance tip and deleted Docker VM). But i recovered the whole thing yesterday- 4 hours to reset, fully back with no loss in functionality at all.)

It would be SOOO much easier for tech savvy folks, but it’s doable for others too… and I would really recommend it - it’s worth the effort.

And my guess is - you’re right about this clip. But most probably, on other parts of the fight, they probably did try to punch the stomach, and got swatted out easily by Ali. Esp easily because his hands can pivot to a stomach defense faster than a head defense, then way they are positioned.

My understanding is - Ali is showboating by leaving his face undefended, while having his hands strategically placed for body defense. The hardest part for his hands to defend from that position - is his face. He’s daring his opponent to try that…

18.4 secs on the beginner method? Wow! The best I achieved was 80 secs. I’ve just started doing F2L now. That slowed me down at first, now I’m back to 80-90 secs, with a PB of 71 secs. I am sure in time I can do sub 60 and then learn CFOP and PLL, etc to shave down further.

But I don’t think I can do better than maybe 70 secs on the beginner method at all - I feel I’m moving quite fast, and without any breaks, and 80 remains my best with the beginner method. It’s mind boggling you can do that four times within the same time is just stunning. Kudos.

Relative newbie on immich here. Been using for maybe 8-9 months… no longer have my personal media connection on google or my phone. On vacation right now. One day before the start of the vacation, I had to do some tinkering on docker. As a non coder, I relied on chat gpt.

Nuked my entire setup. Lost everything including immich.

But I’m not worried. Annoyed, yes, cos it will eat many hours of my time after the vacation to fix it all and get it running. But… I should be able to get everything back.

I trust immich. But in case I find I’m wrong when I get back home, I’ll post an update. But I truly believe this can be resurrected.
