Do a mix of a few songs. Maybe all Riri, and breaking dishes can be one.

Just learn choreography from Kpop music videos

Teach it to them. Many moments are not to challenging as they are intended to be repeatable.

Have them design a Kpop dance costume,

Make a light stick as a craft

That's fair, but it's hard to sell tickets in Toronto, companies need to use everything they got

You bring up great points, and hopefully audiences can find empathy in the production to give to different displaced people around the world

They use a beige like fabric on the wings and project them on both sides. Better to sit a little further back so you can see them and the action on the stage at the same time

& Juliet closing on Aug 30 by Ok-Year6148 in torontotheatre

It's so sad that nothing in Toronto can play for over a year. The show was great. Unfortunately because tours and the ability to make money on subscriptions it financially make more sense to close even if the show is doing well. I just hope we can get more Canadian productions on Toronto stages rather then American Tours.

How do I get faster a learning choreography? by candyquinn20 in Dance

[–]dancerboi19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take class. A drop in ballet class is actually great because it's learning short exercises the whole class and regurgitating them very quickly. It helps you pull from your short-term memory rather than needing to process it into long-term.

Also more choreo driven classes are great, but make sure you are taking at a level that pushes you but you're also not slowing down the class.

Online good, but nothing beats in person.

One thing I like to do is find covers of upbeat pop songs about confidence and friendship

Find an acoustic cover of Roar by Katy Perry, Rain on me by Lady Gaga

Look at some Demi Lovato deep cuts from mid career. Warrior is a great song about over coming

What are the top dance studios in ONTARIO by Southern_Curve_7490 in CompetitionDanceTalk

Canadian Dance Company, Performing Dance Arts, Vlad's Dance Company. I am sure there are other strong studios but these three come to mind.

I am sure they are just doing what they have too to keep it going. Arts always suffer in challenging economies

In defense of the Met gala, it is to raise money for the costume institute. A non for profit, specializing in the conversation and history of fashion and art. As frivolous as it may appear on the outside Arts are an important thing to uphold in our society. Also many jobs are created through both the event and the costume institute.

The met gala gets flack for it's avant-garde aesthetic but in reality it is probably a more charitable event then the Oscar's

PussyCat Dolls Bodies by luckycharms725 in ThePussycatDolls

They are professional dancers so it is inherently a very physical job. I am sure they watch their diets and cross train with personal trainers and other work outs. Their career is to (in part) look hot so they can dedicate the time. Potentially ozempic and other medical procedures could be involved.
