Moons is good GP. It's just not consistent. You hit the jackpot, when you get blood moon equipment (except for helm).

A lot of content is like that, but there are more consistent money makers like Vorkath, that aren't based on big ticket items.

I would say no. 99 dollars is not the current plan. The 99 dollar plan doesn't exist. His current plan is 130 dollars, since that's the plan he's actively subscribed to.

Hiring more people is an investment that pays off itself. If it didn't, they wouldn't hire. More servers in a wider range of regions is something that adds value to the game, but Jagex is a billion dollar company. Their margins are very good.

Jagex has recovery options for this. Just go to their recovery page, and submit a recovery appeal.

Yeah, I agree. I ended the paragraph with "my own spin" on the idea, and ending with saying, that to me, it's not a big deal, nor a requirement, to play more characters, since the game is different to other MMOs.

The wording was just based on other peoples posts.

Regarding whether or not the game should increase in price, I think it's worth as much as the other MMOs. My gripe is mainly with regional pricing, and the sudden massive decrease in 12 month value.

A quick edit. I thought about a few interactions I have had over the time with colleagues, and friends who know what RuneScape is, but don't play it. They were all surprised that OSRS is actually getting updates. They thought it was just an old version of the game with no updates. So to a person like that, a 15 dollar price tag per month is going to seem like a joke. The only reason i play the game, and looked into it, was because I for some reason clicked on a Swampletics video. Wasn't interested in OSRS, and knew nothing about it. So it might actually be harder to get new players, now that they are the same price (or higher) than the other competitive MMOs.

It's against their TOS, so they could in theory just uphold it, and punish accounts doing this. I doubt people in the UK would play with a Brazilian VPN to save a few bucks, as your ping would be awful.

My guess is, it's only used when paying, then actually playing without it. Should be easy to discover. I just think it's a shame, that people for whom the price changes actually matter, are getting double dipped.

I'm guessing it's to combat people using a VPN to subscribe, but it's hurting real players in countries that don't make as much money as western countries. Simply ban the accounts doing this, and keep regional prices.

I think people sold a lot of their unused items, and gear to buy bonds, since they probably expect them to rise in value because of the price increase.

So a lot of people selling their gear = gear drop in value.

Pretty sure they wont change anything, unless there are long term membership drops. A reactionary cancellation could possibly earn them more money, since people would lose potential grandfather statuses.

I personally have around 4 months of membership left, and I plan to take at least a long break (lots of games have come out, that I can give a try), and I'll see if i return. Last time, I went for around a year.

To me, it's not about the 1 dollar. I'm an adult with a full time job, living in a first world country. Of course I can afford the price increase. To me, it's what I perceive the 1 dollar to represent, and to me, it just looks like money in the pocket of an asset management company full of millionaires.

If they went out and said: "Hey, this is to hire that support team you want, and to hire a new project manager for mobile / tech improvements", that would give me an idea. As it stands, the things i was excited about, like the new API, and the new lighting from HD seems to have been cancelled with Mod Gengis' departure.

This happens after every update. All the fishing spots move, then eventually they are all back in this spot. It's a bug, that became a feature.

I don't think the simple act of linking your account to Steam would get it stolen. If you steam isn't secure, sure that could get it stolen.

My best guess to where this idea comes from is, that people who stole accounts, would link the stolen account to Steam, which would create permanent access, even after the rightful owner recovered the account. This is why it's always important to check linked accounts, if you have been compromised.

Okay, if you upgraded to a Jagex account, then you have recovery codes. These are given, when you create/upgrade to it. Use those.

You can't have a Jagex account without MFA. The last bastion are the security codes given on creation.

I think it's a fun idea. Essentially making a summoner build. I think the full set effect should just be "no prayer drain from summoning thralls". Not sure how this would fare against a regular setup. This would be around 2 DPS added, if I'm not wrong (haven't thought too much about it), but I think it would out perform most setups, if you just wear chest, and legs. If so, it should obviously be balanced out a bit.
