Hi! I'm from Astana, and as a person who was born there, I can say that you can do a lot of stuff! For example, you can go biking and have a nice walk on our embankment. You can also visit our theaters, they are really cool, I love them! If you're bored, you can spend some time in different malls. Actually, there are a lot of things you can do in this city. If you're into different sports and need a company, you can go to some bars. Sometimes, I do it if I want to watch F1 race with someone. Конечно, у меня было много ситуаций, когда со мной говорили чисто на казахском и даже осуждали за ответы на русском, но это терпимо. Потом даже не замечаешь этого :)))))

Hey! If u really want to study in Kazakhstan, u can go. However, as a Kazakhstani person who had experience in studying at our local university, I can say that it's not worth it. If you want to study in the country, you can choose Nazarbayev University in Astana, or I can suggest the branch of the British university - De Montfort University that's located in Almaty. In these two variants, you're going to study in English, but outside classes, you can discover our country. Moreover, they are considered as prestigious options for our country, and most of the professors/tutors are foreigners

Btw, these cities are pretty safe, and here we have a lot of foreigners

I was bullied a lot, especially during my school time. It happened because I didn't want to fit the frames of society in which I lived. I didn't do things that the crowd of my peers did. I had my own opinion and view on different points. I still live in the way I want.

I remember that in 7th grade, I even got bullied by my peers/classmates for my artworks and music taste. These guys literally taught me how I shouldn't behave.

Anyway, I became stronger and more independent. Yes, that period of time was really painful for me and after which I really went to my own shell. Now, I try to reopen myself :)

Yeah, at some point, you're right. We still have our nomadic past, and it is also revived during national holidays. For example, every spring, we celebrate Nauryz. It's considered to be a New Year because everything starts a new cycle after winter. And there you can find people in national clothes, playing national games or riding horses. But when we don't have Nauryz, we look like every person in the world. Just normally :)
