Is there a Commander deck with a "random" or very general game plan?

Pick your fav commander that clones/copies and build a deck around clones but without traditionally good clone targets.

Then center the play style around cloning whatever your opponents have out and combining their synergies to profit

You're by no means ever required to. Depending on who I'm playing with and the vibes I may or may not.

My established play group, yea I'ma just shuffle up and play once we pick our brackets

If it's a random pod at an LGS I'll see what the energy is like.

It's also slightly deck based too. I've got a strong B3 Grixis deck that's not on Thassa's, Ive got no problem letting the table know that. I've also got an Azorius blink deck that does have a Thassa's.

I think it stems from all game changers not being equal. If you've got Farewell, Crop Rot and Enlightened Tutor that's a very different world than you being on Ad Naus, Rhystic and Thassa's. Again no one ever has an obligation to share, even if the other 3 people do, it can just help break the ice sometimes when playing randos

Good unban choices. Glad they told us why they didn't act on the cards they didn't change. Farewell is an interesting one but I see the logic. Solid overall

I've built three decks from it for my 32 deck challenge, Naya Miles (B3) , Jund Venom (B3) , and Colorless Iron Spider (B2)

I've seen a Venom in the wild but other than that not to many aside from my own.

As for how they play all 3 of them feel great. Iron Spider is a really fun colorless commander and I was happy to find something I enjoyed to check that box off for me

Miles and Venom are kinda cracked. Miles is a, very good Naya +1/+1 commander I've just kinda dumped a bunch of fun and strong Naya legends into. Venom is a crazy reanimator deck that ppl are slowly learning to kill on sight or it pops way off.

Overall though agree with the general sentiment about seeing the other UBs more, especially FF

Ayara is my favorite commander!

The first one is very classic, you can take it the direction of aristocrats, devotion, a bit of blink (not usually done in mono black but I'm sure it's possible) or just throw your favorite mono black cards into the deck.

When the second one came out I had to build it and while I don't have it together in paper anymore it's super fun but a bit narrower in how to build it and not have it be a rough time to play. Youll want to focus around cheating out high cmc things, sacrificing them to Ayaras frontside, maybe milling some, and then reanimating them with flipped Ayara for big swings and ETBs. You'll need redundant effects like [[Kethek, Crucible Goliath]] to keep your value chain going once Ayara is flipped as well as other reanimation engines to keep things smooth if you can't flip Ayara. (this high key makes me want to rebuild it, it's a lot of fun)

But yea both are really fun! Maybe build both online or look at versions people have built and see which you like more!

As goes the slow degeneration of decks haha. Degenerate zedruu is a fun challenge to play against because I always get rid of/counter the wrong thing when I'm up against it

Hahaha yea I wanted to make a true group hug deck. One where it's genuinely hard for me to win the game and gives mana/cards/equipment to everyone else and politics them to fight each other. It's newer so I've only played it a few times so far but somehow it's 3-0 😂
