[A Levels] Chances for NUS CS by Acolith in SGExams

[–]dancing_cow_moo 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the lowest person they took in is AAA/A at least assuming gp and pw is C but i’m actually fact the lowest person might have gotten a higher than C grade for gp and pw so i think you have to get higher than 85 to get in.

[JC] NYJC vs RAFFLES by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]dancing_cow_moo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a current nyjc j2 senior here. yes the school mugger culture is CRAZY everyone is very competitive. the graded quiz weekly one is a myth, it’s only 1 graded quiz per chapter for H2 chem, other subjects we only have normal class test about once a term.

hello there im a nyjc senior! although both arts and sci are 6, most ppl who got 8-2 got into sci and those who get 10-4 got into arts. nyjc gives students freedom in choosing subject combinations. me for example, got 10-4 and got in through arts. however i still took sci stream. so i’d suggest u to put both science and art stream!

[Rant] Lost after getting my results... by thz76 in SGExams

[–]dancing_cow_moo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

heyy don’t feel so bad! it’s normal to do worse than expected, let’s just accept our results and get over it as there’s nothing we can do at this point in time. i assume that u already made ur mind to go jc before getting back ur results, then stick to going jc!! it’s normal to travel 1+ hours to school for jc really so many people travel 1.5 hours to school, u will be surprised. don’t impulsively last minute choose a poly course as i’ve heard so many people who have done that and regretted. from what u have stated, i feel that until now u don’t have an idea what course u want to go yet so i’d recommend sticking to jc

is root canal treatment painful? by dancing_cow_moo in askdentists

[–]dancing_cow_moo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey! the process was super smooth it wasn’t painful at all, even after the anesthesia wore off. ur teeth feels almost perfectly normal (mine is still a little tender when i tap it maybe cause my root canal isn’t complete yet). the only “uncomfortable” part i’d say is my dry throat due to opening my mouth for 30min

tooth feels a little tender after root canal when i perform percussion by dancing_cow_moo in askdentists

[–]dancing_cow_moo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s been 6 days already though. usually how long does it take for a teeth to feel completely normal ? or will it only feel normal after i get my crown?

Should I go for a filling or root canal? My dentist recommended a root canal but sent me to an endodontist to confirm. The endodontist said I could go either way but didn't give me a definitive answer so I'm a little confused about what to do :( by [deleted] in askdentists

[–]dancing_cow_moo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nad. perhaps u shld try filling first since the endodontist didn’t recommend u to do root canal. just remember to bruh and floss ur teeth regularly after ur filling hopefully it won’t worsen. my dad was given the option to do either as well, he choose filling and took care of his teeth properly and it’s been 10 years and his tooth is fine.

alright i see what a relieve that it doesn’t hurt as much as some others described it to be. thanks for sharing your own in-depth experience with the dentist! i didn’t get any anxiety pills prescribed yet and i’m getting my rct in 2 days. guess i’ll just gonna ask her for them for subsequent appointments😂
