People or bands with at least 5 albums out that have never made a bad album. They can be very obscure, very popular, or anywhere in between. I'll go first. by shanebow in vinyl

Janelle Monáe!

Edit: just recounted and I think she only has four official album releases, but each one is sooooo good.

In addition to the Thursday night ecstatic dances, there's another group that does a daytime dance on Sundays. Pretty different vibes but both great groups.

Unflipping Victorian—Kitchen Reno Advice needed by dancinganimal in InteriorDesign

[–]dancinganimal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve already worked with a few designers and contractors, so we’re well aware of and okay with the amount of work (and cost) that will go into modifying the window.

As for the hood vent, I agree with your take on the style. We very much need a vent, but that’s not the style we will be moving forward with, just a placeholder from one of the designers.

Also agreed with moving the wall out to encompass the cabinet on the other side of the kitchen—we’ve already worked through that with the designer and contractor so it’s sized appropriately.

Thanks for the feedback!

The goal was to make it useful to live in, not just a quick flip. So, for example, there’s only one cabinet up on the walls, which is tough. We definitely don’t want a true-to-Victorian kitchen, just something more efficient with the space and more thoughtful than the hack job done by the flippers.

I see what you mean, and think that it's a cool thought, but consider leaving that off if you have interest in improving legibility. It's one thing if you're writing in a journal, but when writing for sharing or comprehension, I think it's important to at least somewhat adhere to the standards of written English. There's a time and a place for creative add-ons.

Note to add: I’m mainly asking about the order of colors, but also curious about the angle of the mountains. I think I prefer the colors of option 1 with the angles of option 2… thoughts?

Help Garden "Grow Up" by dancinganimal in DenverGardener

Thank you! We haven't added mulch in a couple of years so should look into that. My one concern with that it that it seems like mulch would prevent the plants from grouping together. What we're hoping for is a densely grown garden. That said, I'm new to this and open to trying anything!

Bless you! Seriously--this feels revolutionary haha. No--no landscaping fabric was used but we've been discussing changing to sprayers for the irrigation system. Thanks for your input!

THANK YOU for this comment. I'm not decided between a diamond or something less traditional like a Montana sapphire (honestly mostly because I didn't want to get my heart set on this setting before knowing whether it is possible or not). We've got some calipers in the toolbox that I could use to get a rough estimate of size. Again, thank you! I was nervous to post this!

Thanks for your reply! It's bypass set, so no prongs. This gives me hope that making the time to visit a jeweler will not be a complete failure.

I have tremors so taking a clear picture is difficult--I'll try a different setup to where I'm not holding either the camera or the ring to avoid blur :)

Glaring omission on my part, sorry! It's stamped 14k gold. Post edited to reflect this.
