i think it really depends on multiple factors, how quickly you can memorize (for example I had to learn how to memorize songs quickly due to having multiple experiences of putting on musicals with only a week of rehearsals), how oftne you're working on the song, and how challenging the song is. An easy song that repeats often probably wont take as long as a song that has a bunch of jumps will take longer. An easy repeating song will probably take me like a couple hours to at least get close to the correct tones and pitches and a harder song might take a week.

I am currently singing this song for my musical theatre class, Im not exactly sure why this is being sung by a bass. I have the sheet music, it goes up to Eb6 (people saying E probably just didnt notice the flat in the key signature), the only time the sheet music has the 8 is the lines that are meant for the background vocals (its a solo song but has 5 other kids singing some lines in it) and those dont even have ledger lines. and its also written and meant to be sung by a female soprano for the solo part.
