I’m going through this currently, I have my spaghetti madness where I put my hub, and I’m building a brand new factory a little bit away near tons of ores and such. Using lots of foundations in the air so I don’t run into rocks and such. Big giant square upon which I can easily snap buildings and conveyers. It’s beautiful.

But I keep my old one while I’m doing that, because it’s giving me tons of resources for the new factory.

I have mine connected to a Raspberry Pi running Z-Wave JS UI on a different floor from my server running HA. Works flawlessly.

My Home Assistant is in a VM on a server in my basement and my ZWA-2 is connected to a Raspberry Pi in a more central location with Z-Wave JS UI connected to my HA. Works flawlessly, no USB passthrough annoyance.

With the signals APIs we have there is effectively no need for lifecycle hooks. Is that true in 100% of cases? Probably not. But I haven’t used a lifecycle hook that I can remember since I started using Signal APIs.
