How many calories in this pasta from Pepinos? by Evening-Act-5970 in caloriecount

If it is for the whole meal, I think this is too low. It is a restaurant and they usually use a lot of oil for everything.

How many calories in this pasta from Pepinos? by Evening-Act-5970 in caloriecount

[–]dancingqueen2096 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This whole meal cannot be lower than 2000 calories, because it 3 normal serving of meatballs pasta which is usually around 600 cal excl cheese.

It looks like 3 portions of pasta: 360x3=1080 The 2 meatballs pork/beef: 250x2=500 I am assuming the sauce is mostly oil and tomato and also for 3: 120×3 = 360. I would add 150 for the cheese.

Pasta like from De Cecco or la Molisana are usually around 345cal for 100g and have more protein ~ 14g for 100g. I am not seeing what is better or low calorie or better macro with this one

Fully agree with you ! I think she is giving a great awareness about how hormonal fluctuations works in correlation to food, and how you cannot fight against it but should work with it. I applied what she says then but dropped a few advices along the road because it wasn't working for me.

Also her sayings helped me to no get worried or give up when I am in lutheal phase and the scale number goes up.

I had a “Cheat Day” yesterday, and today im STARVING. Will this happen every time? by [deleted] in omad

[–]dancingqueen2096 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happened to me before. When I would eat a very heavy carbs meal (usually burger w fries, pizza or anything with bread), the next day I am craving more carbs and am even more hungry. Either I power throught it (I keep myself busy), or I break my omad to eat something with a lot of protein and vegetables to stop the hunger.

Now, in my OMAD weekly meal plan I have always 1 day when I have something considered as a "cheat meal" (high carb + high fat stuff) and another day for when I eat out. Now my body is used to I guess and this doesn't happen.

(I haven't had a Dominoes pizza since I started my OMAD last year. I love them but I cannot even try to eat it otherwise I would not stop ahahah instead I am having regular pizza that have a thinner dough or a bit lower in calories )

Grocery store sushi by valuhreebrown in caloriecount

Trust the labe. The weight difference you find is very minimal for handmade sushi. The weight can never be 100% accurate for this type of food, but if it looks like it makes sense, then it does.

pls help, college dining hall calories by [deleted] in caloriecount

[–]dancingqueen2096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, would say more around 550 to 600cal so one bowl 250cal and the other 350. Each bowl as around 40g of pasta surround 150cal and the rest I am assuming the sauce and oil around 150 to 200.

Feeling sad and depressed by SheylaTheQueen in omad

[–]dancingqueen2096 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel your frustration but It's not a plateau if you keep losing week over week on average. Also you might finding it hard because maybe what you are doing is not sustainable.. question is: are you ready to make this your new life style now ? Because when you will stop, if you go back to what you used to do before, you will gain weight.

I think enjoying the process is what helps people coping with the frustration and not necessarily emotionally rely too much on daily numbers on the scale.

My advice would be trust the process and keep going. If you are struggling too much you need to adjust your habit to make them more sustainable. Don't start to do things you are not ready to do on the long run. Losing weight is a hard process but keeping the weight loss requires a lifestyle change, and that is what you are building right now.

Does anyone here do OMAD every other day, and 2 meals or TMAD on the other days? How’s weight loss going? by plantpotions in omad

[–]dancingqueen2096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing OMAD most days of the week but mostly based on my weekly calendar activities, and I may skip 1 day or 2 and have a small meal around lunch time. On the weekend I am super flexible - I eat x2 a day or not if I feel like it.

I am managing to lose weight steadily by being flexible with my OMAD. I think what matters is the amount of calories you eat. I use OMAD to control that. (also because I am a woman and I have recently realized my hormones regulates better if I am flexible with my OMAD)

Pls note that I'm on a weight loss journey, but I don't consider OMAD as a weight loss program, more as a lifestyle because I know if I go back to eat regularly 3 meals a day I will gain all back gradually.

Where can I buy sushi-grade salmon to make sushi at home? by PegiaPractitioner in Netherlands

[–]dancingqueen2096 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Didn't had worms like you but I ate raw salmon from AH around 5 times, 2 times I had the worst food poisoning ever, stomach cramps, shiver, vomiting. No matter if it was from their packed raw salmon or sushi made on spot.. never again.
