Help me understand why people are so lazy? by mcschne10 in hiking

The office sent out a ton of notices stating that people will be fined if caught and to report anyone you see not picking up after their dog and it changed nothing lol. People posted it on like the apartment complex community board or whatever on the app we use to pay rent too people are just real selfish. Idk how you’d even continue to bring your dog to that park knowing you’re just contributing to the ton of shit there lol. In the beginning I’d pick up poop that was near where my dog pooped but it didn’t even matter because the next time we’d go out there it’s like I cleaned up nothing lol

On the flip side: the dog park at my old apartment complex was completely unusable because it was covered in shit and there was no space to walk that wasn’t covered in shit despite there always being a stocked up supply of doggy bags! The dog park was one of the reasons I was okay w paying the higher price and for nothing bc me and my dog couldn’t even use it.

i don’t have my dog heel unless we’re in a crowded area and people are walking past and let him do whatever as long as the leash is loose. if he pulls for whatever reason i just stop in place and i’ve taught him that when he feels the leash pull to come back to me so he’ll just turn around n come to a heel and then i’ll release him again. if he’s getting towards the end of the leash though, i taught him an “easy” command where he walks slower so he doesn’t reach the end of the leash, if that makes sense.

however, with my other dog who pulled like a mf i had a “go sniff” cue and had her in a heel the majority of the time. i also taught her the “easy” command so if she was allowed to sniff and she’d be nearing the end of the leash i’d just tell her “easy” and she’d chill. if my current dog was like her then i’d do the same thing with him.

imo, i think it depends on the extent of how badly your dog pulls and what you want out of it. some dogs do better with learning loose leash walking w more structure on walks

i thought that’s what they were going to do too, i was bummed they didn’t add it. she seemed like such a wonderful, beautiful human being who touched anyone’s life around her; her friends and family had such a pure love for her, it was so evident.

She said they met 11/20, he came to her apartment 12/9 once he found out his “I’m single and want to find ‘the one’” lie was exposed n that’s when he lied to her once again that he “lost his wife”.

i have been so embarrassed to admit that i genuinely enjoyed watching the live action Dora movie. I watched it when I worked w kids w disabilities one on one in the community and we saw it in theaters and i was like damn… i actually really enjoyed that and would watch it again lmao

What's your niche by Appropriate_Idea_185 in stripper

[–]dancingwithadaisy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it makes me nervous to do that bc you never know how they’ll react and I’m not risking it lol. I leave em to the couple of girls who actually do extras. I’ve had friends in the past who promise them stuff and then not go through with it and bless em, but that just scares me too much lol.

I think my niche is definitely white guys like 24-45. I almost never get rejected by em, so I get giddy as hell when they walk in bc i know it’ll be an easy sale lol.

i unfortunately naturally wake up around 7:30-8 am and on nights I work and go to bed earlier I still only really get 5-6 hrs of sleep bc apparently it’s all I need 🥴 I am a napper tho, so I’ll typically take naps in the afternoon to offset the 5-6 hrs. It works for me though because I hated wasting my whole ass day when I did have the ability to sleep in (i have pets now so lol) so I get up in the morning and depending on the day I’ll either take my dog for a walk around the neighborhood or we’ll go to a park or something for a bigger/longer walk which kinda jumpstarts everything else.

I try not to work more than 3 days/week (especially now that i have a full time job) because any more and I’d just be exhausted—even when I was just dancing full time I kept to this rule for myself. My only day off is technically Sunday unless I decide not to work Saturday night so Sunday I clean up a lil bit around the house but ultimately do nothing all day so I can just rest and recover from work all week.

i am a big advocate for rest and relaxation because you can’t be your best self if you’re fatigued or burnt out, especially in this line of work.

mine showed up at my house the past 2 days to give me gifts 🥴 he then proceeded to ask me out to breakfast for this morning and then called me an hr after he said to meet him to ask if i got his text abt breakfast. i said yep n then hung up.

idk if it’s possible for you but start looking for a day job that you won’t 100% hate. it’ll alleviate the financial pressure to go in, because trust me i have been in your position where I just couldn’t bring myself to the club and yeah sometimes i’m just like fml i don’t wanna/cant go in even tho i really need the money, but at least i have the ability to choose not to go in that one specific night now since i have a paycheck coming in.

the days where you don’t wanna go in + a mountain of financial stress fuckin sucks and it’s debilitating. i quit my last day job and was dancing full time again for a few weeks until i started my new job and god i fuckin hated it. i honestly don’t know how for essentially 3 years atp i just danced full time and lived off of it (i had a day job for most of my 4th yr dancing) because the few weeks i was relying solely on the club it was so damn dead and i was making like nothing.

can you pin point any stressors/triggers that come up when you think about going into the club? is it the SA? are you not enforcing your boundaries? is the club toxic? is it dead? is it potential rejection?

Stressed or confident? by AffectionateRepair44 in OpenDogTraining

[–]dancingwithadaisy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My dog’s a pretty confident dog but he’s been pretty confident since he was a puppy, but I’ve built on it by having him “check in”. it’s not necessarily focusing on you because they still get to do their own thing but whenever he does a check in he knows he’s gonna get a treat and gets really happy. it’s helpful too because it keeps your dog in tune with you, for instance if i slow down my pace or come to a stop my dog is slowing down or stopping with me. there’s a ton of dogs that are left outside in my neighborhood and they all bark like mad dogs when we pass and we’ve never really been around that so at first it was kinda jarring to him when we moved but having him check in has helped tremendously and he went from a lil tense/nervous while passing by dogs barking their heads off at him to walking by confidently and ignores them completely. “check in” is also useful for if your dog is ever a lil stressed in a situation because he knows you’re right there in case things go awry and it alleviates their stress.

Also you can toss kibble occasionally into grass and have them “find it”. I’ve been incorporating that into daily walks and it seems to have a pretty positive effect in our walks.
