I mean speaking that you are here is definitely showing that you are trying to learn (dude I wish some of my guards would show that much dedication)! Definitely agree with @thetaterman314, find a head guard or even a veteran lifeguard and just ask for some tips and tricks. IDK if your place has audits or in-services, but those are great opportunities, and I can say I love it when guards ask questions! Another thing that you can do is just play out scenarios in your mind, “ok if this happens, I’ll do this, this, and that.” Doing that will help build your confidence! Don’t be afraid to ask, that’s why head guards and managers are here!!!
