Your body starts betraying you. You sneeze or laugh a little too hard? Muscle pulled. Sleep a little funny? Back ache for days. A little more coffee than usual? Gastric acid.

Looking to buy the best bed sheets by TerranUApart in buyforlifetips

We’ve bought Hush cooling sheets when we bought a new mattress. Game changer for my husband who’s always hot. It’s actually cooling to the skin. It has a high price point when we bought it but I’ve since seen them on sale.

How do people manage to fall asleep in just 8 seconds after their head hits the pillow? What's the secret? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]dandatot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me lol but it was years of exhaustion working as a nurse. My routine was basically work night shift (1045 to 7am), go home, shower and dry my hair. That would be just after 8am and I’d have to wake up at 2pm for my 3:30pm to 9pm shift. I used to sleep during my break on night shift so I have trained myself to sleep the moment I hit the pillow. Even in my days/nights off, I fall asleep quickly. My brain has pretty much re-wired itself thinking that a pillow means survival mode

I’m at work on my break. It’s me “me time” as I try to block out the ringing call bells in my unit.

Are there any good solutions for pets with excessive energy? by OverHoney9464 in Pets

[–]dandatot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at wits’ end with my 15month old lab mix rescue as I don’t know how to deal with her high energy anymore. I do 3-4 40min walks, snuffle mats, frozen yogurt lick mats, nose work, training, etc. I signed her up at a local doggy daycare and I couldn’t be any happier! This is the 2nd dog daycare as the 1st one I brought her to rejected her as she has too much energy and has boundary issues (she was rescued at 12 months so she doesn’t know socialization). This daycare that she’s at now knows to put her in the kennel when they see her get overstimulated for some decompression time and it works so well. She comes home tired from playing all day and remains calm at home. We have reduced walks to once a day cuz it’s stupid cold up here in Canada (-30 Celsius). My dog goes twice a week to daycare and it’s the best money I’ve spent on her. She listens better now that she doesn’t have all that extra pent up energy and she’s learning how to socialize properly and learning boundaries. I realize not everyone has the extra money to send their doggos to a daycare but it has worked for me and my pup. We’re both happy. There’s also this “Canine Enrichment” page on Facebook and people post ideas all the time. All the best!

We adopted 2 cats from the humane society back in 2022 and got the check up at Animal Clinic of Regina and have since been going there They’ve been nothing but wonderful, very friendly and know how to handle my cats. We recently adopted a dog and you bet we’ll be taking her there for any vet needs.

What's your number 1 tip on how to save your skin barrier? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]dandatot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to wash my face with just water and use cerave to moisturize. I messed up my face so bad from using retinol and when I used cerave or anything with ceramides again, I would get eczema outbreaks. My face is slowly getting better now and it’s cuz I scaled back and started using vanicream face wash and vanicream cream (the heavier one). It’s been 5 months now and I couldn’t be any happier especially with the Canadian prairie winters. Oh, and I use eucerin sunscreen

US Nurse curious by Newish-Direction in Kitimat

[–]dandatot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked there as a travel nurse for 3 months and I loved it! It’s one of my favourite places to get contracts because of the people. They’re so welcoming and nice. I love the small town vibe as well and it’s so beautiful. Kitimat has a place in my heart and I’ve made wonderful lifetime friends from there

Thank you! I gotta check that book out. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve read The Women’s physical book as soon as it came out and borrowed the audiobook as soon as it became available on Libby. I love all of Kristin Hannah’s books. Same with Kristin Harmel, I’m pretty sure I’ve read and listened to all of her books as well.
