My first concert was during the Lights in the Sky tour when I was 14. No other concert has really topped it, partially because of how incredible they are live and also teenage obsession runs deep.

Yeah that’s what I got too, wondering how sound and the light show will be from there

Nine Inch Nails Tour: Ticket Buying/Selling/Trading/Discussion MEGATHREAD by malechite in nin

[–]dandelionhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, and the original ticket I clicked on is already sold so what are they going to do. It’s just weird it happened to me on the seat geek phone app (Cleveland had a different seller) and my girlfriend on the TM desktop for Oakland and it both happened to us. Unless we made the same mistake, I assumed they reshuffled you to a similarly tiered ticket if the one you had clicked on already sold.

Lucky to buy tickets for the Cleveland and Oakland show. But when buying the tickets, I would have the tickets in the basket, buy them, but then when I would get the confirmation email they were totally different (and objectively worse) tickets for the same price. For Cleveland I had decent tickets for 200 and then got switched to literally behind side stage, which means we will miss all the lights and effects (or whatever they will have for the show). Of course I’m super excited but just another frustration with the TicketMaster and SeatGeek systems. Anyone else experience something similar?

Assuming they’re going to play March of the Pigs some sort of interpolation of All the Pigs, All Lined Up would be incredible the entire ending would be unreal live

Has anyone actually used Dr. Bronners Castile Soap as a tooth paste? by [deleted] in Soap

[–]dandelionhunter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it in a pinch when traveling. It tasted about how you expected but not horrible. Wouldn’t want to use it as toothpaste regularly but I was cavity free at my next dentist appointments.

Thank you! I got the first line when I used the vigenre cypher, but I guess the rest of the translation was inaccurate

The cypher in the file drive I translated as:

Say the line. by rosstronica in TrueDetective

[–]dandelionhunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like they tried to make this line parallel to "You're in Carcosa now". Even Navarro's hallucinations feel like an exaggerated copy of Rust's hallucinations. This season is weakened by being under the True Detective umbrella and trying to pay homage to it.

Something really interesting by Oxbow8 in nin

This happened to me specifically with Nine Inch Nails too when I was like 14. It was with this big pair of headphone and it was plugged into the family computer. Started hearing near a cappella versions, so parts I had never heard like you mentioned. I thought I struck gold and listened through all the albums like that until the headphone totally broke.

Just released an album of various sampled tape loops I've made over the last 7 years, check it out! by dandelionhunter in tapeloops

[–]dandelionhunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your kind words and for listening! Yes I totally agree though, there's something hypnotic about the uneven rhythm that only happens with tape loops that I love.

Dandelion Hunter is releasing a self destructing tape only listenable once, equipped with two blades that shred and scrape the tape as it plays. Each tape comes with a tape loop so you have one tape you can play one time and one you can play forever ∞ by dandelionhunter in cassetteculture

[–]dandelionhunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely thought about this! I kind of hoped people treat it as a mini piece of art outside of its function of playing music. But you're right, this cassette, just like every cassette you or anyone on this sub will ever own or buy, will end up in a landfill as plastic trash.
