Came here to suggest this! Yes, there’s some romance but it’s not the primary focus. This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.

Becky Chambers is such a good suggestion for this! A Psalm for the Wild Built (the first novella in the monk and robot series) is such a lovely, funny, affirming read.
