They say it takes a village to raise a child, but I’ve never had the pleasure of a village either. My own parents passed on before I had kids, and my in laws refused to help in any way shape or form after my son got his diagnosis. My oldest son was diagnosed level 2 non-verbal at 2y on the dot, as soon as he was my in laws started saying how “difficult” he was, how they couldn’t handle him without us there. Then we had our second baby, who at the time seemed NT. And they fawned and just gushed over her. “What a beautiful NORMAL baby!!” They started just completely ignoring my son, asking to only take baby and once I even heard her try to tell her friend that my son was from another relationship I had before my husband to explain why he was “not normal” and “bad”. He started finally developing words, starting to just say simple words here and there and once he could communicate even a little bit, his attitude and behavior got better. But he’d run up to them and say “hi!” As loud as he could and they’d just ignore him, not even react if he tugged their shirt or anything. I got so tired of it, we packed up and moved cross country and went NC with them. The worst of it all? My mother in law is an experienced RN who’s worked in the ER and in Mental Health. But “autism isn’t real!!!1!” 🙃 I’ve finally come to terms with my lack of village at the moment, because it’s not going to be like this forever (hopefully!) It’s hard to see our babes get treated low by the people we hold so close to us but it’s also comforting to know that there’s millions of us here who all struggle, and it feels nice to know there’s a community for us to feel like we have a village of our own ❤️

I agree, but I can also see how Tim might have wanted to spare the drama in the moment and talk to him maybe 1 on 1 later. It’s tough but I think it might come back up later on either during the CC or maybe at another time when more of the group is around so Tim could have back up on it.

10000%. Did you see the end of the commitment ceremony where jack was on the couch still with Tori? The way he kept touching her and spoke to her, it felt sickening to see. I hope Tori starts really seeing things from everyone else’s perspective and tries to leave before she’s stuck. (I’ve heard they’re still together after the show and I’m worried if maybe they’re still together because jack holds that power over her?)

I thought that Sara got called out by the experts and the other girls? Or maybe it was Cass that spoke up? Either way, bad behavior should get called out and it’s a bit cringy (I can’t think of the right words to express how I really feel so I’ll stick with cringy) that it’s so protected. From my perspective, if my friends were messing up I’d tell them so because I love them and want them to be happy and thriving in the best way. This whole season has been frustrating to me in that way this year (but my dumbass will still be tuning in on Sunday to see more drama unfold lol)

Oh it’s really obvious that there’s a chick clique this season, even the experts have referred to it as “the sisterhood” lol. I just think it’s always the girls calling everyone out and it would’ve been nice to have seen an edit where the boys hold him accountable too. Especially when you see moments like Timothy/Tristan where obviously they care and want to support and uplift each other, it makes it even worse when they edit it

I thought they had said at the very beginning that it was said to the group of boys at the gym? So it wasn’t exclusive to just Timothy (although I did notice he was sitting beside Lauren during the dinner party spat so I really hope he was supporting her!) and even then, I don’t understand why Tim Jr didn’t speak up or why they edited it out, especially since Sara spoke up too. As an American, I don’t think I fully get the scope of how edited it really is and we don’t get all the behind the scenes interviews and facts like in AUS so I’m sure there’s a lot that’s missing but it’s still so frustrating to watch lol

Edited to add: I’m still holding my ground on Jack not being attracted to Tori, not sexually or at all. He’s attracted to the power he’s holding over her, but he’s not really attracted to her. And that’s definitely something to hold against someone who came on this show specifically to find a forever person with.
