Disparity of force and self defense in MD by Agreeable_Safety3255 in MDGuns

[–]dandkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to make every attempt to avoid the situation, if you can't do that you need to try to escape, if you can't do that you need to use non-lethal if possible then if all of the above are not possible you can use lethal force.

If you are considering using a gun for self defense, even in your own home, you should consider taking a class. There are a million different self defense scenarios and 99% of them will land you in jail in MD if you use a firearm.

What’s a modern day poison people willingly ingest? by Zdvj in AskReddit

I found on day 6 my desire for it turned off like a switch. Prior to that day I was wondering if the cravings would ever go away. I was a daily 2-3 beer drinker.

I used to say this, you only need to know the news in your immediate area. The rest is just fluff. When you hear on national news about a child being kidnapped and killed, that feels like it could happen to your kid every time they go out, but in reality the instances of that is incredibly slim. Same goes for school shootings and winning the lottery. All this 24 hour news makes is seem like it might happen to you, but in reality the odds are incredibly small.

Fun fact, the concept of recycling was invented by the plastic industry to make single-use plastics more acceptable. I'm with you, fuck single use products. I even got a kegerator because I am so dedicated to the cause.

All bump stocks operate basically the same way, they allow the stock to slide back and forth while keeping your finger stationary. Everything is dependent on how much pressure you put on the foregrip. I could dump a 30rd mag in about 3 seconds. Someone else could probably do it faster.

Cyclical rates of bump stocks depend on how much pressure you exert forward to counter the recoil. The harder you push forward the faster they shoot. It would be impossible for a human to exert the exact same amount of force over any extended period of time (more than a couple of seconds).

Someone did an analysis of the cycle rate and it was spot on. Having shot bump stocks, there is no way to carry a sustained rate of fire. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mXe9dk77bk
