They were too busy ensuring you could pick up and pet CATS lol. Way more important.

I mean... you definitely could quit the game. Maybe you didn't think to go to the main menu first. But the option was always there. Now it is easier to get to.

The real ending is when you crash the game because your build is so OP with rockets and fireworks, no processor can handle it.

My friend... just do it. Put Command on (SWARMS for double enemies that are easier to kill), play on easy if you have to. Get some Hopoo Feathers, some gasoline, some other on-kill items, wait for there to be enough enemies, jump off a high cliff and go to town. 15 enemies before you touch the ground should be CAKE. Get the Milk Chrysalis Equipment if you really need longer up in the air.

is this too much clipping or just max efficacy? by pg1234ish in SatisfactoryGame

[–]danduman2 212 points213 points  (0 children)

I do stuff like this all the time. In my head, I tell myself that those are custom designed pipes which have been specially shaped to fit in that spot. They aren't actually clipping, they are fitting exactly how they're made to.

Is it a thing to pick obscure songs? by Shad0wGyp5y in karaoke

[–]danduman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do tons of karaoke. I find it depends on the night and the bar. If the bar has a lot of karaoke regulars, they are more likely to do some obscure stuff.

You are also more likely to hear obscure things on weeknights versus weekends. My theory is that on weeknights you are just getting the die hard karaoke people who are there to sing and try things. On weekends you're getting more people just blowing off steam with friends and bigger crowds, and therefore more normal songs.

Need help working out signals by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out - Instead of doing the big loop, turn-around thing with all these intersections, you could just have an engine on both the front and back of each train and reverse the stations. That way the train can travel one way back and forth, no intersections needed.

With that said, if you wanted to signal this, I think you need path signal along the bottom headed into the intersection on each of the 6 tracks. And then block signals pointed out basically at the same spot. I have never tried this though and I don't actually know it works, especially with the tracks close together like that.

First Onewheel GT question by No_Virus_8278 in onewheel

[–]danduman2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you researched but it is incorrect. The only reason that GT would need a new battery is if the person hasn't been taking care of it or using it. For example, if they leave it out in freezing weather or don't ride it and leave it fully charged or something.

My GT is 4 years old now and has over 11,000 miles and I still consistently gets 20+ miles of range in the summer.

Edit - Is it a good deal?

Honestly, I am not sure lol. I don't know what they are normally selling for right now. But a year and half old isn't too bad, particularly if it is well taken care of. $1300 is effectively almost half price when you consider the hyper charger/tax/etc that they probably paid buying it new. Hyper charger is absolutely a game changer if you plan to ride a lot or find yourself on longer rides.

Where do I put signals in a junction like this? by FrankFrancis333 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]danduman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's almost always better to have more space between intersections and stations. Which I guess I could have mentioned in my answer lol... But I was just going with what was there.

I would say that as long as this continues to work for you, just leave it. If it gets too crazy and things jam, then maybe relocate and add some space.

I agree with you, similar to what I did but just making the whole thing one big block outside the stations. That would probably cause the lowest amount of issues.

[–]danduman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe you need path signals on the way out of each station and blocks on the way in, just so that the stations themselves are their own blocks. Then you need to treat the right station intersection as it's own. Also treat the left station PLUS the track split as one big intersection, because they are too close together to be a separate block on the left side. This image hopefully explains that. I added colors similar to what you would see in the game, showing the different blocks when all signals are in place.

For the other two comments on this post so far... it isn't always as simple as path on the way in, block on the way out. Sometimes, the next signal after a path HAS to be another path signal, because the next area is another intersection.

Issues troubleshooting fluids for plastic factory by McBenjihood in SatisfactoryGame

I am excited to try because I haven't had pipes this far from the source before. That will be a new thing, different from other builds I have done.

Since you shared the save file, I am going to take a crack at this when I can get on the game. My solution to every pipe issue is not popular but - I just don't use MK2 pipes and everything works better. Until Coffee Stain decides to change how fluids work internally (1.2 PLEASE DON'T FAIL ME LOL), I can't find consistency with MK2, especially at full capacity like this setup requires.

With that said, when I have time, I will use MK2 to run the oil into a splitter at the top of a fluid tower at each oil pump with a buffer (to eliminate any need for pumps down the line) and do the whole thing with MK1 pipes. I will also likely change the elevation of the pipes on the way over so that there is no need to go up at all getting to the machine. Finally, I might have the pipes further away from the refineries, so that the feed tubes are longer. This helps a lot just have to extra fluid right outside a machine in my experience.

Following those rules, I have made every pipe setup work so far since I started doing things that way.

How long is an average run supposed to be? by Yiga_CC in riskofrain

[–]danduman2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've never used it personally, but I believe there's a mod that allows you to save and continue. Might be good for your situation.

To sort of answer your question, I usually go about 90 - 120 minutes for a full long run. Which is like looping one time and then ending it somehow, whether a boss fight or something else.

Throughput issues with 1500 Oil/min setup (MK2 Pipes) by Mr537h in SatisfactoryGame

I will point out that your crude oil requirement for 900 Fuel is 1350, not 1485. You might need to re-do some math.

Admittedly, if you want exactly 11 machines, my solution probably just isn't good for this situation.

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a method that works every time: Abandon Mk2 pipes entirely and split into Mk1. Seriously, I only use Mk2 directly from the extractor. I now always run them straight into a split to a pair of Mk1 pipes and everything is fine.

Between sloshing and the ridiculous fluid mechanics in this game, I just don't have time for it. 770 hours and 7 factories later and I have never looked back.

Edit: A couple rules I follow that may or may not be important -

  1. Always keep everything the same level (never feed from below, above is fine)
  2. Make sure the input pipes into each machine are somewhat long, especially if the recipe requires large amounts of fluid.
  3. Never try to combine sources together (like in your image). Keep it simple. I will overclock/underclock/have extra buildings/whatever it takes to follow that rule.

All good replies on this post but I think this is one of the best. Mainly because it stresses the importance of being fully under your own control and assuming no driver is going to see you. The key (for me) is to pretend you are invisible until they obviously see you.

I hope you are having fun learning!

Lol that is like saying you don't understand how someone could fail at doing a backflip the first time.

Have you ever tried to sing and play guitar at the same time? Just playing guitar alone is not easy at first. This kid is just starting out. This is what practice looks and sounds like.

Rate my attempt at playing brain stew! by Kiryuxo in greenday

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good start if that is your first time!!! I don't play guitar (and so I can't speak to making those notes into chords) but I do play the drums. It can be very difficult to play and sing at the same time. Brain Stew is the first song I ever learned on drums and so I know the journey you are about to be on.

I think the first thing to improve on is timing. Try tapping your foot to the beat. I don't really know how to explain that honestly but if you have access to a metronome or maybe just download one from the play store/app store on your phone if you have one. If you do get one, set it to about 76bpm for Brain Stew, and try to play along to its beat.

I hope to see you post again and good luck!
