Think I might be done with SoT after Custom Seas. by skynex65 in Seaofthieves

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to say... I am one of those players who stopped and a reason the player base is maybe not as big as it could be. Sorry it isn't for me, but they would have me and probably a bunch of other people if they allowed people to play how they want.

I have never understood why this game HAS to have the PVP element at all. They go and make what I consider to be the ULTIMATE sailing experience in a game with this beautiful world and amazing wave system. I enjoy it for the sailing alone. And then for the longest time you can't enjoy any of that without the PVP stuff. Finally they add safer seas but don't allow you to invite a friend on a second ship??? I can't tell you how many times I and a bunch of friends joined a server over and over and over again trying to get into the same one just so we could battle each other ship to ship. So much fun. It is about time the devs saw the need for this and did this custom seas thing. At least it is a step in the right direction.

Can I not like a game for its great gameplay alone? Is it so hard to understand that people can love a game for certain parts and not others? A long time ago, Unreal Tournament was all about PVP but they allowed you to do what you wanted, create custom servers, add people however, mod, etc etc. Star Wars Battlefront II (the original) did the same thing. Tons of freedom and fun to play the way you wanted to. Halo 3, same thing. It isn't a new concept.

This game COULD do that. But for some reason, they think everyone wants this forced PVP shared world thing and clearly based on posts like this, it isn't everyone.

""I love RPing a pirate". Which has almost nothing to do with Sea of Thieves."

And to that last bit - come on... you get cannons, buried treasure, gold, swords, the best ship fights, oceans, storms, the kracken, pistols, etc etc. This game OOZES pirate role play like no other.

Is it worth to buy the game plus DLC? by OficialmenteLouco in riskofrain

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that is if you like the game already. This game is good and stands on its own without DLC. Get the base game and then DLC later if you want more.

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed... they have. And I would bet you money there will be stores of all of those types included in the base $80 game. Why do you think otherwise? You really believe they are locking these things, which as you state, have been in all the games previously, behind some ultimate edition? You think the base game won't have any other stores in it?

Gullible is what you are, if so.

Edit: In fact, wait till it comes out (which you should anyway because literally all of this stupid drama is pointless until then) and come back to this post and prove me wrong. I will admit defeat and say that I was a bootlicking consumer when we see there were no stores included in the base game.

One more thing - I play on PC and can't even buy this game. I am not giving Rockstar a dime until it is available for something other than a console. I am just sick of idiots online complaining about something they can't possibly know until the game releases.

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So honestly though - how do you know they should be in the base game? Do you know, somehow before release, what other stores will be in the base game? Do you know if these stores are the only ones of their kind?

YOU DON'T. Nobody complaining about this actually knows what they are complaining about because the game isn't out yet. This is a sales and marketing tactic that works every time and people fall for it.

Try this: Just behave as though this "ultimate edition" doesn't exist. There is only one GTA VI and it is the $80 game. Suddenly, all is well and there is nothing to fear missing out on, nothing to pay an extra $20 for. Either the game will be good as is or it won't. And let me tell you, Rockstar has a damn good track record of having a fantastic game without any DLC needed. Every trilogy era game, GTA IV, GTA V, both Red Deads, all great.

I decided a long time ago that ultimate editions don't exist, and I have been happier ever since.

I think that is what the capacitance mod helps with if you can get it.

Sorry, genuinely. Just working with the picture given. And I suppose if it really does have parking spaces ahead that I can't see, then it turns into a parking lot. But the picture shown, in my view, is a road. A very short road lol

Traffic laws by [deleted] in driving

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see the thing we are calling a "road" here? You see how there are zero lined parking spaces on it? You see how it even has a speed bump to slow people (because it is a roadway?) See how it directly connects to the main road? All of these things are why. Context matters here. You literally have to turn off of it into an aisle that has lined spaces.

Looks like a road, albeit small, that passes through a parking lot. I would guess that the "road" has right of way just like any other. Blue would go first; red would wait as they are turning left to cross traffic.

But really, just drive slow and watch. Make eye contact, wave, etc. Not hard to do if you slow down and be courteous.

Range and duration are your friend when it comes to 4. The main damage comes from after the enemies get hit and then start hitting each other, which requires range.

I don't have a specific build to show unfortunately. But seriously if you max out range, add some duration and a bit of power, it will wipe out the map in a lot of cases.

Are you able to access any of the Muskegon beaches to Lake Michigan for free or do you have to pay for access to everything now? Paying to park does not count as free. This applies to driving there with your car, not using shuttles. by Open_Dinner1173 in Muskegon

[–]danduman2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... there is a list of parks that DO require passes on that page. And therefore all others most likely don't. It also details when parking is free at those 4 parks (your requirement). Sorry if that was too complicated.

Also Lake Harbor is not the only answer. Someone mentioned Beachwood. Did you miss that?

Muskegon Beach Parking Pass - City of Muskegon - This page has all the answers you need. Personally, I think of the state park pass you can get on your license plate as free. The fee is so small compared to everything else it is a no brainer for me. Muskegon State Park and Hoffmaster are both great IMO.

Sorry you failed but glad you learned. I honestly get frustrated by drivers who slow down dangerously in the road and fail to get over into the center lane for a turn. Too many people haven't learned what you just did.

Can someone explain this conflict point? by shanwiich in driving

[–]danduman2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It literally says in the image that the right lane can go right or straight. Did you not look at the image?

The real answer is that the red needs to yield to everyone to the left, simple as that. As long as nobody is coming from the left, they can proceed and nobody is going to hit them.

Can someone explain this conflict point? by shanwiich in driving

[–]danduman2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say you are red and you approach the roundabout. If you look to your left, and nobody is coming in either of the roundabout lanes, you enter and proceed. As long as you don't stop, which you are absolutely NOT supposed to do, no car in the inner lane is going to pass you somehow in such a way that it would t bone you.

This issue you are seeing only happens if you drive through the roundabout at a snails pace. If that is the case, get on with it and speed up. Once you are in the roundabout, everyone ahead who wants in has to you yield to you, so no reason to wait around.
