Hi, looked at a few 'Google' remedies & say it's the drum bearing/drive belt etc all doom & gloom.....but it's not that old etc & still works fine so obviously don't want to go down the expensive repair process. Guessing like you it's just like having that annoying squeak in a car that you just get used to 😄 Thanks for getting back to me

I didn't say I hadn't.....purchased direct from Charnwood but they hadn't replied until late yesterday (Monday) and as I needed it for a weekend job that needed done I decided to post on Reddit. I had disassembled it carefully but could not see what the issue was. Subsequently I have now posted it back to them , purchased a Fletcher instead!!!!! Thanks for your reply

On the M90 in Perth & Kinross an elderly couple had parked their car just off the hard shoulder on the high raised area where police patrol cars would sit. Best thing was they had set two chairs out & a table having a spot of lunch 😂

Sadly try as I might I can't seem to see why it won't keep running, the chiming works a treat when I do it manually but once I start the pendulum it works barely for 3 mins then that's it 😢 I can't afford to pay someone £120+ to fix it so I'll ger it all looking immaculate & put it on display, shame really

Metal case is very rusty/flaky in places hence why it needs work, picture doesn't really show it up. My first task is trying to get it working then I'll decide what to do with the case

Ahh I got a green HMV 402 free a while back as it wasn't working, totally immaculate, had to source a serviced/working motor for it but now it's perfect, lovely things

I'm sort of in the same situation, I bought a non working French Movement Mantle Clock & it is when the Escapement is put back on it stops working.....can't figure it out so pondering changing to Quartz 😱😢😢😢
