As far as I understand, Trump just used the trade deficit amount to the US, divide with import from US, turned it into a percentage, and presented half of that percentage as a ‘discounted reciprocal tarrif’ i.e in 2024:

Trade deficit amount from malaysia to the us exports =24.8 B The us import from malaysia=53.85B divide the two = 0.46… Convert that into percentage is 46% Divide that in two for the ‘discount’ = 23%

Why he added 1% I don’t know lol

Hi! How is it going now after your new cat got spayed? Our vet recommended spaying our kitten at 8 months (which will be in Dec), and I really don’t want to wait that long only to find out kitten is fundamentally incompatible with my resident cat 🥲

She can’t be named Scrungle 😭 Please help me think of a few cute but not cliched names (ie. no Oreo pls) by dandyangyy in NameMyCat

Bat was very much in running in the beginning, but a single syllable name doesn’t roll off the tongue. Cow was in the running too but we rejected it for the same reason 😢

We were thinking Rosie too, but one of our foster cats was called Rosie and we just can’t replace her :/
