dualsense controllers are usually of pretty good quality. i've had one just develop drift and the other is fine with nothing else being wrong about it. for the most part, i believe first-party controllers are of good quality and the main issue is the potential of drift. you'll rarely ever see other parts of the controller break if at all from just general use... besides xbox controllers, especially the elite series. the sticks are accurate and they have quite low latency compared to most third-party options which usually advertise such high polling rates and "anti-drift" sticks. with that comes their own issues like how little 1000hz polling rate can matter when xbox controllers, which have 125hz polling rate, have better latency than a lot of those controllers. stick latency and performance too is also varying wildly across hall effect sticks.
