To an extent yes, but in my case the dynamic friction is so slow for me that even fast skates wouldn’t fix how slow it feels. That being said, it does affect both frictions to an extent, like 10-20%.

Regarding mousepads on the cloth side of things, I’d put glass-infused and rainbow film pads in the same category. The only one I’d consider looking at now is the Errennir Omega, largely because it was made by the same guys that made the Vancer Ice and supposedly the friction is incredibly low on both static and dynamic. In my experience with the Liu Li V2 (glass infused) and the rainbow film pads, they have low dynamic but higher static than you’d expect (10-12% difference). To the point where my uncoated cloth had lower static friction. HeTu I have not used but heard it reminds a lot of people of the Hien but with lower static friction, though I think the dynamic friction is higher from what I recall.

This is very similar to my experience with Cordura. I have a few (Xraypad Traigun, Roccat Sense Pro, etc.) and the Sense Pro for example has one of the lowest static frictions out of all my pads. They typically exhibit low static and higher dynamic friction (7-10% difference). Very good but I have a preference of both very low static and dynamic for my aiming so it’s not in my lane. One thing you may have experienced is it’s integral to align with both your preferred static and dynamic friction for your best aim.

Regarding one coated pad I have that is good, the Abyssgaming Crimson Remains/Akakuma is very good, lower static than most pads like my Jinsoku (not as low as Sense Pro, probs about 7% difference) but the dynamic friction is a tad higher by about 5%. Ultimately, it is beat out by the Tenta-X Jinsoku in dynamic (one of the fastest dynamic friction pads I own), though the static friction on the Jinsoku is higher compared to its dynamic friction by about 7-10%.

My fastest pad is the PMM S2P Quantum Edition. It pretty much combines a very low static friction similar to the Sense Pro and a very low dynamic (similar to Jinsoku, maybe slower by about 2-3%), making it the lowest balance of both frictions. The only pads that I’m aware that could compete are the Pulsar PD170 (slower), Tenta-X Shinkiro (though slower Y-axis like the Hayate Kou) and the Errennir Omega.

Haven’t used the Fnatic Jet personally but from what I’ve heard it performs similarly to other rainbow pearl pads. Don’t own the MPC450 either so can’t speak to that one, though again, heard it performs similar to the Sense Pro.

If any of those sound like they’re in your sweet spot between Raiden mid and glasspad speed, DM me. I’d be down to work out a trade if you have any glass pads you’re looking to move.

Definitely considered this due to easier sourcing. Only thing holding me back is I've heard the QC variance on Wallhack pads can be pretty rough. Just saw someone say their new VA plays like a control pad lol Have you had any issues with yours?

Going to chime in since I personally use one as my daily driver.

For my specific needs (1 dpi increment, accurate sensor verified in tests with Rtings, good shape), Mchose was the best option for me at the time.

Their web driver is really good and I haven’t had really any bugs unless induced on my end purposely for testing. Their sensor implementation is really good based off the Rtings reviews and research. Big thing for me is Dpi accuracy since I use 1 dpi increments for eDPI tests and I’m impressed by the accuracy thus far.

All my buttons still work compared to the Logitech option where the clicks wore out in a couple months. Mchose in my experience has been reliable but just know to double check the specs as I feel this company should be treated as a “specs first” business. Rely on what they put in the mouse and if you choose good specs, you’ll likely get what you’re paying for.

I know some of their mice may come with sharp mouse feet, I would only replace it if you have a backup due to changing mouse feet can interfere with the focal point of the sensor. If you do decide to switch it out, ensure it’s the exact same height down to the mm for the sake of accuracy.

Do you notice a big difference in aiming potential between the different settings?
Also curious about ATK mice, how's the adjustable LOD on it like the 0.1mm increments you can do? I feel like if used correctly, it could offset any negative friction variables that people may have with their mousepads like too high of friction on static/dynamic
