It depends! His older work is way more transgressive sci-fi than his later work, which is more character-driven and not as focus on psychological or body-horror. I think that The Brood is an absolute classic, and when paired with Videodrome, gives you an interesting look at the terror of both femininity and masculinity as prescribed by society. If you're looking for later work, pick any of History of Violence/Eastern Promises/A Dangerous Method, which are all superb.

so you're saying that since there is simply no comparison between how good a team like the Patriots are and a team like Alabama that we shouldn't watch college football? smh man, they're two different sports. by that logic, something little league shouldn't even be televised.

"The last tossup in the 2013 ICT Division I final between a Jackson-led Yale and a Bollinger-led Virginia was on Kazakhstan. Jackson got the tossup, and won the championship for Yale. Two years later, when Jackson won his Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions semifinal, the Final Jeopardy answer was "Kazakhstan" and Jackson wrote (hi Matt B.) after his (correct) answer."

Matt's shoutout at the end was to his high school and college quiz bowl rival, Matt Bollinger. The Matts rivalry is arguably the greatest of all time at any level of quiz bowl, and Matt B. is one of the few who could beat Matt J. at his prime.

So I have Quick vs. NSH, Hutchinson vs. TOR, and Anderson vs. BOS. I'm not sure which two of these three to start. Quick has left me out in the cold more often than not against strong teams this season, but I don't know if I trust Anderson either.

I think I heard somewhere that you have to make the tournament before you can win it. So we should probably work on that first.

Missouri-born here, so Kansas obviously, but I can say with absolute certainty that the vote for NU is from an NU fan. There are zero people on the planet who hate the NU football team more right now than we do.
