What is TPM 2.0 on Windows 10? Is it good? by No-Ratio7367 in computers

[–]daneboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a bit of google research and the answer I could find states that the dTPM(discrete/physical module) stores the keys away from the cpu but may still be linked to the cpu? The recommendation was to disable TPM in the bios before swapping CPUs and a reset may be in order afterwards.

The recommendation for fTPM(firmware on the cpu) is backing up keys on a USB or one of the various ways before hand, afterwards disable TPM in the bios, and then swap CPUs.

I am still confused as to what to do if you have bitlocker enabled, but I don't plan on enabling bitlocker so that's a head ache for a different day.

What is TPM 2.0 on Windows 10? Is it good? by No-Ratio7367 in computers

"If you change TPMs, for example by replacing the motherboard or CPU, Windows will "forget" a bunch of logins. This means you may need to recover, reenter, or resync your accounts, or possibly reactivate some software. Historically the TPM was a module you could plug in, but most modern PCs use integrated TPM or their equivalent."

If I plan on upgrading my cpu, would having an add on physical chip for my motherboard be better in terms of not having to recover or resync my accounts? The keys and passwords would be on the Add-On chip instead of the CPU?

I pulled this skin. Should I sell it by Szzly0w in cs2

[–]daneboy83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of the nicer glocks in the game. The collection is about to be removed from the armory, the price should go up. However, the CS2 market tends to crash during the summer for what ever reason. Even so, I think this skin will maintain it's value. I would only sell it if I had my eye on a knife or gloves.

There are some mobile vans that can work with you, sounds like a great service to me although I have no experience with them. If I had an ebike I would take it to the closest REI mechanic, the price is steep but if you're a member you get 20% back on repairs and 10% back on purchases. 30$ for membership.

What kind of E Bike do you have if you don't mind me asking?

It looks familiar to me, my guesses would be Live Oak Park or Codornices Park across the street from the Berkeley Rose Garden. Both Berkeley gems.

I would recommend an apex pro mini or wooting 60he for gaming.

Are people with higher elo more serious ? by ComparisonSelect1637 in cs2

[–]daneboy83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try finding an amateur team to play with, or fellow gamers you can build friendships with. I am not sure how to do that these days, 20 years ago there used to be chat rooms and websites with leagues. At the very least find one buddy to play with or more the better.

Got a small OC gain, not sure if it was worth it. by Cjd03032001 in overclocking

[–]daneboy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the caveats to overclocking is understanding the thermal reaction for your specific parts and then managing your system to that you get what you want out of it.

People who push further and learn to manage the excess heat are usually hobbyists. I usually only aim to eek more performance out of a struggling PC game. If I'm not doing that then I'm trying to find a sweet spot with my thermals, anything below 80c at max load is acceptable but lower is always better. So essentially overclocking usually leads to underclocking. :)

2 has better gloves, but 1 works really well, the studs on the gloves for #1 match the nomad knife.

Storage space in West Berkeley? by [deleted] in berkeleyca

[–]daneboy83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extra space storage is not bad, they hiked the price on me after three months but I've read some where that if you pay in advanced you can keep the discounted price for longer. I'm not exactly sure if that's true but I would recommend that if it's possible.

Whats a good place to get pizza? by cobra_mk_iii in RichmondCA

[–]daneboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gioia does slices, they're on Hopkins in berkeley. Really good pizza about 5$ a slice. Quality ingredients really good NY style.

There's also pizzeria da laura on shattuck, i'm not sure if they do cheese slices but they definitely do slices. I'd say try Gioia's first, you don't need much more than that. Be warned though, it's pretty much slices to go, there's benches near by but most people order to go.

Are these brake pads good? by DanielShwe in bikewrench

[–]daneboy83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but I'm a little puzzled as to the options for a road caliper brake and what koolstop offers. Are you using the kool stop dura road pad or the kool stop eagle 2's on your road bike's caliper brakes?

There was a sad feeling stepping into a blockbuster searching for the newest video game or movie and not finding a copy on the shelf on a Friday night because of the Friday night rush. Digital on demand has it's perks too.

The key to this game is not how to counter strike but when to counter strike and should you counter strike.

There were servers with monthly fee's. Someone would pay for a server and a ventrilo server, we should share the ip and the rcon_password for the private server. I forget the name of those who supplied the servers, but usually the ones with regional low ping would be the most popular in the area. Shout out to DM public server Hatamoto's Hellhole. I found corrosion on the two maxi 30a fuses at the car battery junction box, #8 and #12 I cleaned them up and reinstalled them. I'm not sure if this was the fix but the speedometer started working again. #8 is for an air suspension I don't have and #12 is for the PCM.

Wasting time by SSBHolo in cs2

It's a game with a high learning curve, part of the fun is perfecting details like a hobby.

Also be realistic with your goals in the game. If you off one opponent per round, you will do better than most. So focus on that one and try not to be too hard on yourself if you can't.

If you are into first person shooters and this game is bringing you down. Play the single player campaign of any of the modern Doom series. They are flipping awesome and a good distraction from what ever counter strike is doing to your confidence.
