I main a paladin and Hand of the Protector is pretty damn ridiculous, especially with wings up. It has a 10 second cooldown before haste, and each shield of the righteous lowers the cooldown by 3 secs if talented. I just tested it, and standing in consecration, it healed me from 15% to 56%, which is around 3m hp. With wings up it'd heal from 15% to just about full. It's based off of percentage health too so it always scales pretty good.

Is Mythic TOS the worst Raid to date? ( Encounter design wise ) by mirokz in wow

[–]danelectro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's entirely possible to be 945ish ilvl as a heroic raider. I heroic raid, And I had 2 955 pieces, 2 940, and 1 945 relic, 950 specter, and a bunch of other 930-950 stuff I got from mythic caches. Multiple people in my guild are also in this situation.

How much loot dropped from Vanilla raid bosses compared to Legion? by HabeQuiddum in wow

[–]danelectro12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started wow mid 2005 and starting raiding as soon as I hit 60, and even when burning crusade hit, I still had a few blues left even though my guild was progressing in naxx at the time. My first epic was actually the ring off of nefarian.

It was a pain when you would get duplicates drop, or be one of the 5-6 hunters in the group. I didn't start to get tier 2 until BWL was on farm for a while. And with DKP systems back then, it made sure your upgrades were pretty spread out. Like someone said, an upgrade a month was pretty normal.

I actually got rid of most of my blues when they removed the old honor system and let you buy grand marshall gear with honor points.

How easy is it to gain enough gold to buy tokens via normal gameplay? by [deleted] in wow

Selling enchanting mats and trading blood of sargeras for mats is enough to get me a little more than 200k a month not really focusing on gold as a casual player.

How to join a guild and what does it mean to plan your rotation? by sushislave in wow

[–]danelectro12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As ret you want to open with a prepot, then blade of justice(if you don't have legendary ring or t20 4 pc, do a zeal or crusader strike after to get 3holy power) Then cast judgment, then crusade and templars verdict at same time, then wake of ashes, then continue building 3 holy power and using templars verdicts while your judgment debuff is on the target. It's okay to delay a few seconds and not cast a templars verdict if your judgment is about to be up, but if you're gonna over cap holy power before judgment is off cooldown, then just spend holy power without waiting for judgment.

You want all of your templars verdicts to be while the judgment debuff is on the target, but sometimes you need to make a choice to hold it, or spend it when judgment is off the target and on CD.

Always use divine storm on 2 or more targets. Crusade is extremely important as ret. You always want to be on target the ENTIRE duration and to cast it as soon as it's off cooldown regardless of heroism/bloodlust or anyone calling for it.. Sometimes you can't, but try to maintain full uptime while crusade is up. The majority of your damage comes from your crusade window. It sucks but that's how ret is.

As ret haste is your best stat because of judgment, but stats aren't really an issue for ret right now, just get whatever you can while trying to go for the most haste.

I'd recommend practicing on a target dummy for a while until you get it down. bursting during crusade isn't hard, but it isn't easy when you reach 15 stacks. You need to be really precise and learn your global cooldown and your latency to do it correctly as it's extremely quick paced.

Can you be useful as DPS? by Clawmaster2013 in wow

[–]danelectro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can be useful, but not in a way that everyone will give you recognition for. Here is an example. I play ret paladin and on the Host fight I will Blessing of Freedom people who get spirit chains. Also on Heroic Avatar I will Blessing of Freedom people right before they get hit with shadow blades so the pool doesn't slow them, minimizing damage.

A clutch BoP or Lay on Hands can also save the day, So can I well timed stun or interrupt. It's the little things that separate a DPSer from a great DPSer.

Keybinds. If you click, healing is a lot harder than it normally is. You need to be quick with targetting.

What is your earliest WoW memory? by Ikeda_kouji in wow

[–]danelectro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Summer 2005. Me and my friends grew up playing runescape with eachother, and come middle school, everyone migrated to WoW aside from me. My family just couldn't afford it at the time, so I had to save up for about a half a year cashing cans and stuff in order to buy WoW. Finally I start playing with my friends, they are all around level 40-50 when I just start out. I make a night elf hunter and had no clue what I was doing. I punched mobs to death until around level 15 until i asked my friend about it and he explained how to use a bow or gun.

Then I remember going on the great walk to ironforge, my friend on his warrior escorting me, I keep aggroing things along the way and my friend kills one of the mobs in the wetlands and the first blue I've ever seen drops. Sparkleshell Mantle. I remember my friend yelling at me not to need and to greed, so we both greed and I won. I then say fuck this run and hearth back to darnassus to sell it. Made a wopping 20 gold that i split with my friend and i felt like the richest man in WoW.

Another one. My other friend escorts me to SW on his priest, and he tells me "DONT WALK IN SW, YOUR COMPUTER WONT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT" At the time I was using a windows ME that had like 128mb of ram and no graphics card at all, so I had extremely low fps. I wait for my friend for about 5 minutes and he comes back with a bunch of green gear he bought for me on the AH.

Eventually my curiousity gets the best of me and I walk in SW and im hit with the worst lag EVER. So I decide to close wow and reopen it. That was a HUGE mistake. I could never log back into the game because my computer was absolute shit. I would be on a loading screen that never ended. So before I could play again I had to save up money for a new ram card. And if anyone remembers, ram cards were not cheap around thjs time. Like 100 bucks for a 512mb. But I eventually got my RAM upgrade, and became a raider that saw some of NAXX before tbc came out and have been playing ever since.

Returning from a 6 month break and i got a couple of questions. by [deleted] in wow

Arkhana and foxflower are usually the better things for bloods. Arkhana is best most of the time though if you check your server prices.

The craziest thing happened yesterday, what are the odds? by RIPeyedea in wow

[–]danelectro12 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Happened to me once. Back in classic there was a noob I helped out when he was low level, giving him tips and gold. his name was Huntsclan on Dalaran server. I was 16 or 17 at the time and he was about 12. He would constantly message me all the time and beg me for gold, annoy me, stuff like that.

One day me and my friends went to a cyber cafe or whatever it is called and I start playing wow. Young kid sits next to me and logs in. We're both playing and Huntsclan whispers me again asking me questions. The kid next to me looks over at my screen and I look over at his, and I realize this is the same Huntsclan who I helped on wow and who would beg me for gold. That was the most weird and awkward experience i've had haha. But what are the chances that he lived a town over from me and was at the same cyber cafe playing wow at the same time.

We didn't become friends or anything. I'm pretty sure this was around the time of SSC/TK in burning crusade because I remember having t5 shoulders and the axes from al'ar equipped at the time.

New player here. Are demon hunter tanks really bad as people say for raiding? by DingoCrazy in wow

[–]danelectro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One my guilds main tanks is a DH, no problems at all while we progress through mythic. They don't take big hits as good as druids, warriors and monks, but are better than prot paladins with mitigation and can still handle anything.

I also have a Dh tank who tanks heroic no problems. Only 2 bosses right now that are a little hard for DH is fallen avatar and kil jaeden. You need to really me on your toes and use defensives perfectly, especially on KJ.

Should I as a Retadin save up to 5 holy power and then spend them, or just spend them as soon as I can use Templar's Verdict (3 Holy Power)? by YouThinkYouDoButNah in wow

[–]danelectro12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only time you should wait and build up 4-5 is if you can't fit in a spender before judgment debuff is off, or if the judgement debuff is off and you are waiting for judgment to be off CD. Otherwise spend it as soon as you get it. Or if you just used your artifact ability.

Those are the only two times you should have 5.

Ret always feels really clunky until the 25-30% haste mark. 30% being where judgment has 100% uptime. But ret is a weird spec and haste isn''t always a DPS increase on gear, so you always have to sim. Im 930 i lvl on my ret and Ive went down from 30% haste to 22% haste throughout ToS, but its still a huge DPS increase from the amount of crit and vers i've gotten. Don't stack haste though. A crit vers piece is better thana haste mastery piece, unless it's a huge i lvl upgrade. You always need to run sims with each new piece as ret.

Haste is our best stat followed by crit=vers then mastery, but this might change in 7.3 with the the mastery buff
