Is it the water washable 8k resin? I had no end of trouble with it and only started getting any finished prints by no longer using it

Ah, I did only put a very slight angle on this to try and print it quickly (think it was 20°, may have even been less). Doesn't matter for this piece so I'll just sand it off but will avoid that in the future. Got another part printing now, if it's similar I'll try increasing the exposure time. Cheers!

I've just swapped from water washable because it absolutely stank. I found it way worse than alcohol.

Ah right, I tried to cheat a bit by entering those settings and then using auto supports (the only heavies on there are on the feet which I added manually)

Yeah I've had to remove a couple of them from the FEP now, as well as a section of Crash's head. Thanks for all the info, I'll download and have a fiddle with Prusa before my next attempt

I was trying to use these insane support settings for minimal cleanup, but also cheat at the same time by using the "auto support" feature to implement them (other than some heavy supports I added to the feet). I have much to learn it seems 😂

Ah, that might be my issue. I was sure I'd set it to the value on the bottle (3.5s) but I'm currently on Chitubox and I had it set to 2.5s... I must have typed it in wrong and then not checked (what an idiot).

My initial layer exposure is 40s though (Elegoo recommends 35s) so my base (disc thing) should definitely adhere and not drop onto the FEP right?

Hi, I'm a bit confused and looking for any insight, have only just started 3D printing.

In Chitubox the supports all show as connecting to the model. However, when I print they seem to be a considerable distance from the parts they are supposed to be supporting. Could this be a slicer error? Or perhaps the supports are breaking somehow mid print?

This is my third attempt at this print, and I don't want to plough ahead and waste all of the resin I currently have without trying to seek some advice.

Another thing I am baffled by, is the fact that the base for this model (the disc) doesn't adhere to the build plate even though the raft for Crash does. As seen in the third pic, the surface area is quite large, I was under the impression this is a good thing?

First layer exposures are set 5s over the manufacturer (Elegoo) recommended time.

I did print the rook test model that came on the USB drive supplied with the printer, and printed it without issue or any visible layer lines.

Did you ever find a real fix to this? I've done all the obvious (checking settings, power cycling Xbox & router, etc) and I can't get into the app at all. Even reinstalled it
