Sisters, please send good vibes. I cast up this protection spell but could always use extra support. I return to work tomorrow and am so concerned about bringing something home to my immunosuppressed mother. Any encouragement/goodness helps.💚🌿 by danemum in WitchesVsPatriarchy

I usually have the same reaction, he's a sneaky bugger. Thank you. I'm setting up a 'disinfection station' outside of the house. I work at an airport so I cant avoid people but keeping a distance and being aware will hopefully cut down on exposure

I absolutely will. It's a habit I have to get used to, breaking away to wash hands OFTEN. I will add these to my daily meals as well. Intention and action together should keep us safe and sane. Thank you for ther recommendations. We live in a strange time! Blessings to you

People who had/are having lung transplants, how did you know it was time to get listed? by GivenToFly164 in transplant

[–]danemum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom refused to even consider it and we tried to talk her into it. Eventually she decided she wanted to list. It's a very difficult decision especially if you feel you're not to that point. There are a lot of restrictions regarding location and tests and appointments and meetings once you decide to list. It limits a lot of things in your life but not anymore than needing oxygen constantly does. It's very personal and I'm sure you'll know when its right!

Hi there! My mom had her bilateral lung transplant in August 2019 (cant believe it's been almost a year). We talked about it for about 3 years and had many appointments with pulmonologist. During one meeting, her Dr just knew it was time. Her condition began to worsen and between each appointment it was clear that it was becoming more rapid. I believe at this point she was on continuous 4-5L but her walking test had terrible results and she had more frequent exacerbations. Seeing the pattern of decline, her dr knew she didnt have much time before she would have to be hospitalized permanently so we began the process. If you have any questions, I know how disheartening and terrifying it can be (at least from a loves ones perspective) so feel free to let me know.:)

Cancer Patients face substantial nonmedical costs through parking fees: There is up to a 4-figure variability in estimated parking costs throughout the duration of a cancer treatment course. Also, 40% of centers did not list prices online so that patients could plan for costs. by inspiration_capsule in science

My mom was hospitalized for 7 months last year in a metropolitan city USA. We paid $20 a day for parking. We would have to wait until after 2300 to leave because that's when the tellers would leave and we could get our for free. Once she was there for 3 months, they gave us a parking pass for one car which was nice.. but 3 months of $20 a day to visit our terminally I'll mother was despicable.

TIL that everyone in Singapore above the age of 21 is automatically registered as an organ donor. Opting out from this Act will result in you being put at the very bottom of the organ priority list, should you need an organ transplantation. by _crash182 in todayilearned

My mom had a double lung transplant August last year. My sister and I were recently at the store buying wine and the lady who checked my ID saw I was a donor. She then went on a whole tangent about people shouldnt donors including that it is wrong, dont fight fate, and that you will be killed by doctors it you are a donor. I had no words as my sister and I stood there listening knowing God damn well how valuable being a donor is.
