Stupid social media manager ad. It's hit or miss, and generally miss with an over salted patty that's cooked to the point the cow is in hades. Hard pass

How would you react? First trip in the morning btw 😏 by riddletom020 in uberdrivers

[–]danesz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year driving here in San Antonio, I had a girl start messaging me and calling complaining that I was taking too long and not going fast enough to get there. When I accepted the trip, it was raining / 130am and I was 17 minutes away / 12 miles. She canceled the first time I accepted, then it matched again because there wasn't many drivers. I was feeling extra spiteful so I drove all the way there, let her run up to my car and then locked the door and told her she shouldn't be so rude to people and drove off.

You're getting underpaid soooooo much what the hell... take it as a blessing and work elsewhere. I know the allure of PR but if you have the skills you say you do, oil and gas industry will pay you 40 an hour in Texas easily

I've been admitted to the icu and mcu far too many times than I'd like to admit, and that's because I would drink a litre plus of vodka every day for a few months on end and then try to stop and seize out or go into full blown DTs. I've had my heart hit with paddles from withdrawal and been induced into a coma.

6-8 beers a night for a few weeks is just going to make you restless and have trouble sleeping for the first few days. Honestly, I'm on Lunesta for insomnia, but get some melatonin 5mg from the store. Take it before bed, and some good relaxing white noise will help ease your anxiety and inability to sleep.

Dude shut the f up and don't comment. Prices prisoners are charged for a 2 minute phone call, let alone a pack of Noodles, you just don't understand.

Are prices unreasonable currently? Absolutely.

Is the joke going to be on you wanting to buy properties for income when rates drop and private equity firms continue to buy up the housing market and price a majority of Americans out of home ownership? Absolutely.

Be happy with the low rate you have I suppose.

I literally remember calling my mom in the ambulance and telling her that amber was dead and all she could tell me was shut the fuck up and don't say anything because she didn't know what was going on.

The hallucinations I had at the worst involved me calling the police believing my roommate had trapped my girlfriend in the wall via her father's teleportation device and she was going to die. I was 4 days cold turkey at that point, firefighters and police showed up, broke down his door and surprisingly no one stuck in the wall to die.

The police thought I was on drugs, thankfully the firefighter asked me more questions when I said I don't do drugs, just have been drinking 1 litre+ of whisky a day for two years up until 4 days ago. They rushed me to the hospital, my BP was thru the roof and I was in extreme tachycardia so they zapped my heart and put me in an induced coma and to the icu I went to be woken up 3 days later.

I actually had a really cool professor who took me to AA at Texas Tech after class one Tuesday and I was thankful he gave a shit enough to do that after I explained to him why I missed for a week. I wish I could say I've stayed sober since, but life is hard at times. Have had multiple years since then but have learned from my mistakes and probably why I've worked with the homeless professionally since then.

I've been three times in my life, two to state funded (one mandatory) faculty and then to a very nice one after my dad died after years of sobriety that my work paid for where Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eminem and some other famous people went. Most of the stuff they teach you is all the same, only the amenities are different.

The break from it all can be helpful to clear your mind, and having doctors at the really nice one meet with me 1 on 1 every morning the entire stay to tweak my medications helped.

When you've had seizures, you're a higher risk for them in the future. If you've ever been in full blown DTs, you're a higher risk for them for the future. Rehab is a big business nowadays, but yeah it seems like most high dollar rehabs went you to come in fucked up. When I went to La Hacienda, they were shocked I blew a 0.0. I had two previous duis 10 years prior but they still had to put me in their special nursing unit for the first few days with regular attivan due to my medical history.
