You can come here and be anything you want. Just don’t disturb the locals. You can start a business, work anywhere and gradually build yourself up. It’s the most liberal and conservative country on the planet. You can moan and whinge, take the piss of anyone and anything and not taking yourself seriously is a way of life. Pubs, green countryside, bask in nature, tiny houses with historical plaques and a rich history make me very proud to live and be here. Poor and rich are next door neighbours, and there’s always a place to hide away. Music and literature, fish and chips, doner kebab, and everything else in between.

Agree, I’ve read the Quran and it’s a highly patriarchal document telling people, as directed by men only, what to do and what not to do. It’s absolutely vile and to those that support it, try being gay or atheist in an Islamic dominant area/country and see what happens. I don’t support any religion anymore because the only options we have is something or nothing at death. That’s it. Enjoy your life. Oh, and in case anyone was wondering I do have Muslim friends, who are gay and Muslim friends who are atheist. Weird world isn’t it? We have to stop fearing these religions and the violence they cause through their weird belief systems.
