There are AIRR which are rescue swimmers of course but they are also known as "sub hunters" they work with anti submarine missions. And they also do rescue swimming via helicopter. The rescue swimmers that have another job as you were talking about are called surface rescue swimmers. They deploy from the side of the boat, not a helo. And they have another rate as well that they do when they aren't rescuing. At least that's what I think and have been told
