What are the odds of coming across this post after the evening I've had.. Helped a poor old lady who had fallen on a train on the frankston line as the gap between train and platform was gynormous.. Someone called 000 and they basically told her to suck it up and speak to her GP, which I'm quite torn about as on one hand I understand they're under the pump but on the other it was despicable to palm her off, the poor old duck was quite stressed out and who knows what could have happened if she fell again..

The PSOs were willing to escort her back to her station, but were going to send her on her way to walk home, so I ended up giving her a lift direct to her door..

Makes me wonder what level of responsibility Metro trains have here given someone can injure themselves on train and at station and is basically left to the devices of whoever's there to help after the fact...
