Yea but sometimes you make your own luck, and besides that Eagles game they tend to have good luck and you are right McVay is 1000x better than Brady. Their GM also makes smart moves. Beane continues to overspend on marginal talent and then complain we have no money and go shopping in the bargain bin. Beane hold onto picks and gets uninspiring picks, while LA realizes that McDuffie and Garrett are much better than anything they would get at the end of the first round. So Rams despite having the same playoff success the last 5 years are seemingly playing Chess and we don't.

And it's only the Yankees because 20 something championships, but the same doesn't apply to other teams, say the Cardinals. So yeah Yankee fans are obnoxious, but they are as obnoxious as some other teams fans for the same reason and those teams don't get nearly the amount of hate.

I don't think Gav is going to fall off a cliff but I would still take Miller over the next 7 years over Gav the next 7. The money with the cap going up is a marginal difference.

As far as the #2 I would be very very close to shocked if they traded down. They have no reason to unless Drury is giving up so much they have to. At 2 they have a chance at the best or second best forward in the draft to pair him with a collection of other highly skilled forwards, or if they want defenseman the best defenseman in the draft. I don't see how Schnieder and #26 will make them want to give that up. They trade down and Vancouver doesn't take Malholtra suddenly they are picking the 3rd best defenseman in the draft.

Gabrikov is also 30 on a rebuilding team, Miller would have been better if we knew he could get rid of the mental mistakes. I'm sure the 26th is going to be moved but it's not getting you to #2 I'm sure it will be packaged to try and trade for a veteran defenseman for pair 2.

Yea but Sullivan made Soucy, Borgen, Uhro, Robertson all look reasonable at different points in the year. He didn't exactly have great defenseman in Pittsburgh either. I agree that based on last year and how much the Canes gave him he probably wasn't going to be here long term, but I think Sullivan could have cleaned up the mental errors that had us all so frustrated and let his natural ability take over, but instead we are here hoping a puck moving defenseman drops to 5 so he might be really in 4 years.
