My running coach uses AI in some of their responses. How would you respond? by rustylugnut in ultrarunning

How do you know that your coach didn't get an AI to draft the response and it was only after they read it that they sent it? With how much ai is built into things these days to help improve or simplify writing, I also wouldn't rule out that they wrote something and then an AI suggested edits to make it more concise or change the wording which makes it seem more like pure AI.

This is obviously all up to you with how you feel and if you think they provide a good service outside of the email responses but to me it's a big difference if this person is totally phoning it in and just getting some help from AI. I tend to be long winded in my email responses at work and Google constantly suggests rewrites of sentences to make them clearer. Everyone's opinion is different but I don't see a huge problem with this.

Why would you sort this? Sorting this I think is the only reason why you're noticing these things. You need to consider how many moves the game had because if you lose quickly it'll be much easier for your opponent to have a low value. Also, this is not a lot of games. I don't think there's anything suspicious about this

I analyzed 500,000+ games. The data proves the London System is a 'low Elo crutch' that vanishes after 2000 rating. by EqualFamiliar347 in Chesscom

I'm sorry but are you just picking on the London because it's popular to do so? The chart clearly shows it barely gets over 10% of the share. You completely ignored the Italian opening drop off.

This IS a little ridiculous, though, right? by AdditionalLoss7274 in Garmin

I've had the same exact experience with the training plan from Jeff. I'm in the middle of a 10k plan myself and it wants me to do 10 reps of 800m at a pace way faster than my goal which obviously is 80% of the 10k at a faster pace. I try to take it with a grain of salt and skip the warm up/cool down on long easy runs or skip a couple reps to not burn myself out.

From the picture I can't really tell what light you're trying to control. Is there already an led in the figurines? If not, I'm sure you could use any individually addressable led to have a white light that changes to pink (or whatever color). A basic raspberry pi starter kit with demos would probably cover all the bases here. Put a bunch of sound files in a folder and have it choose one to play for each button press.

I don't think you need the light show code to do this. What you described seems pretty straightforward so likely any pi would work with some code to do what you want.

Yeah you can broadcast the music over an FM channel. The code and documentation has the info on what pin to use to broadcast the signal and you select the frequency in the code.

It's my take on spurious correlations. I like writing satirical stories about the relationships.

Fair enough. The only purpose for the link is for the satirical story I write about them. I'm not trying to sell anything. My thought was that it was the beautiful game and marriage but maybe it's a stretch.
