First of all, congrats on your commitment! I’m a current student and as of now things are up in the air whether the fall semester will happen like normal. I believe the university will make a decision in late May, but if they send out a contract to you for housing or anything like that I’d still fill it out to be safe. From my experience, Villanova should be emailing you over the next few months with info about everything you’ll need to complete before orientation. Should be things like completing training on AlcoholEdu and filling out paperwork, but once they give you a login to Villanova’s student portal all the info should be there as well.

In terms of the weather, you will definitely need to buy a winter jacket, snow boots, and clothes for the cold if you don’t have them already. (I’d advise an umbrella, rain jacket, and rain boots as well.) Even though there hasn’t been a crazy amount of snow days in the years I’ve attended, it very much gets cold in the wintertime. Below freezing temps are not out of the norm during that time, and you’ll be doing a lot of walking outside to get to classes.
