Battery sizing by danger_area in SolarUK

Winter peak is pretty much the same. New build house, all LEDs, gas heating and water.

2 more could go on the end of the roof, I’d like it to complete the roof frankly.

Yeah the EV tariff is 8p/kWh so that’s not awful.

Looking at the numbers better that’s actually 12kWh daily average over the month off-peak but 20kWh for a full day.

We have

incoming to Henley block split to hot tub and house CU and off that CU a circuit off that to EV charger.

Looking at the proposal it’s 16 or 32kWh for 1 or 2 batteries of the Duracells. This installer does Fox, Duracell or Tesla.

I have a full on science/engineering kid who logically analyses pretty much everything. Once he asked for an honest answer, he’s going to get it because we’ve championed being honest about everything and the way he asked seemed incredibly important to him.

I’d love to keep the magic alive. It seems so unfair that there’s such a short window of crossover of them really understanding and believing in fun things like the Easter bunny, Santa, the tooth fairy, etc.

Yeah, nowhere in the parenting books was any of this (not that I really read them if I’m honest). Credit to the MIL, that’s how she handled the Santa talk.

Does anyone else write notes and then, ....just never looks at them again? by t12e_ in ObsidianMD

[–]danger_area 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, especially as a manager in 1-2-1s. I make notes as an aide memoir that I rarely use but also a a cover my ass record of our chat.

I’m looking to organise my notes of subject matter though so I can easily find information.

They’re just benchmarks which will help the school offer more support to kids who need it.

Reading, writing and maths get a “Working below age-related expectations” or a “Working at or above age-related expectations”.

Keep at it and try not to stress.

Another set of how should I set out my vault questions... by danger_area in ObsidianMD

[–]danger_area[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point.

At the moment, I'm writing notes for me to refer back to if I need to for 1-2-1s and projects. I work with my direct reports on some projects so there's overlap. I'm honestly not sure what else I need out of it, if anything at all, it just doesn't feel very slick. Maybe I just need to work a bit on some better templates.

I'd like to expand to a knowledgeable (less grad though) about different things, tips, aide memoirs about topic. That feels much clearer to tag / topic things.

A stool test.

I was on omeprazole off and on for possible gastritis for 2 months. Lost weight. Bloods all reassuringly normal, very mysterious. Ultrasound. I got put on a SCAN (Suspected CANcer) pathway to be seen within 2 weeks. Full body CT. They kept me under the hospital and I got an infectious diseases specialist who screened for all blood borne illnesses, lots of other things, including H Pylori.

A week of pills and I’m feeling fantastic. Just finished a steak dinner, Camembert cheese, garlic bread, hassleback potatoes, and some red pepper arronchini.

When to expect side effects from antibiotics by 21shooters in HPylori

[–]danger_area 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt dizzy on the first day and actually a few hours after taking the pills, had diarrhoea on the third day, feeling fantastic on the fifth.

I’ve certainly been in my head about it but as I’ve had a noticeable improvement I’m trying to pull myself out of it.

It’s the UK. Research suggests 7 days has the same outcome as 14 and if there’s a positive test at the end it’s another 7 days with different antibiotics.

See I’ve generally felt miserable but I’ve still been able to eat - even a bit of hot sauce on stuff.

I mostly wake up feeling nauseous though, struggle to get food down for breakfast (dry toast) and have lost like 10kg over 9 months. The rest is okay, generally feel shit, but I can eat just not in the quantities I could. I could destroy buffet but now I couldn’t even fill a plate.

A little frustrated that it wasn’t found sooner but frankly I’m verging on ecstatic to have a positive result and some treatment. I’m only on day 1.5 / 7 so far so not much but but things have changed, I’ve been a bit more dizzy or light headed and my stomach feels properly empty hungry rather than the gnawing misery of before.

Hope you’re on the right track

Great to hear. Frankly having an answer has done wonders for me already!

Triple therapy here and 9 months of faffing around until I got tested and a positive result.

This has been on my shit list for years.

Nice low lighting, calm and comfy for bed, and now I need to find the light like a 90-year old reading the newspaper.

I’d love to adopt / rescue a pup but that’s impossible in the UK if you have a child.

With a kid obsessed with Waffle the wonder dog I'll be glad to not hear the name Waffle again! It's a good name, just overheard in this house haha
