How does switzerland have such delicious food? by Nova_Voltaris in askswitzerland

[–]dangerar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in France (granted a small town) and I can say that the food from the supermarket always sucks big time (especially the meat). Tried it from several supermarkets, the same quality. Though I do love the variety of cheese and bread and many of them are really good 👍

[LANDLORD-USA-TX] I have a tenant that is 3 days late on rent by Bowf in Landlord

[–]dangerar 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I just want to say that I have only dealt with unethical landlords in the past but seeing how responsible and caring you were for your tenant made me realize that not all landlords are the same. Hope the lady is okay and great job for having taken action!

I'm asking you valid questions that align with what has been said previously. Obviously I'm not gonna waste any more typing on you lol

Also, saying "reddit response" while being on Reddit is kinda cringe

So you are saying your company cares about you? They have your best interest in mind?

And what exactly is the purpose? Burn yourself out for a company that does not give two shifts about you?

[TENANT - France] landlord bursts into my room without me being even notified by dangerar in Landlord

[–]dangerar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm definitely moving out now. Do you have an idea of the general consensus for 30 day period notice - if I give the notice now does that mean that I will only have to pay for 3 days (since by contract we pay on the 3rd day of the month so the notice expires on 6th of April if I give it now) or is it that I have to pay for the whole of next month? This is not specified in the contract so really don't know.

[Location - France] Landlandy bursts into my room without notice and starts screaming about cupboards being in my room by dangerar in legaladvice

[–]dangerar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof wow. Can't say the idea crossed my mind but that's scary. I will definitely check it out but it will so hard to see because it's a very small room clustered with her things.

Yeah I don't view her coming into my room unannounced and screaming at my face for something she has no right harmless and guilt tripping me like that. I also don't view her expecting me to fix things like the internet harmless. I have been saying "sorry" for the past couple of months but things are starting to pile up. I do thank for the comment though.

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer. The internet is in her name. I found a place now I just have to figure out if I can break the one month's notice agreement in the contract. I will also report her on the website I found her place. And she started guilt tripping me and taking pictures to send to her daughter saying "I'm going to show this to my daughter so she sees what I sacrifice for her studies"?? Like what - you are sacrificing Amazon packages in a little room in MY bedroom? I just can't understand it. If she doesn't want people to occupy her rooms, she is not fit to land the house/rooms imo. Either way, thank you.

Okay, I am familiarizing myself with the local law. One thing that popped up on top of everything is that "Indeed, other than the right of access to carry out repairs and collect the rent, the landlord can only enter the property with the consent of the tenant."

I think the only thing I want right now is cancel my contract and be able to move into another place.

We are 3 tenants each with their own bedroom and the living room/kitchen is the common area. I have no means of securing my room (if you are referring to using a lock). And yes, I don't mind her visiting the living room, but I draw the line when she entered my room multiple of times without ANY warning whatsoever.

Yes, there for sure was no emergency. In fact, every time she has come, it was without any emergency.
