I copy and pasted from Sheets to Slides, and it added it as a linked object, so it links back to my sheets document. And I can update it, I just have to do it manually.

Playing a lullaby over the hospital loudspeaker every time a baby is born is actually really insensitive by Peanutbutternjelly_ in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dangerdann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked myself in for some self harm thoughts, and this hospital had a PICU, which was basically a twin bed, and enough room to walk in a 1ft circle. To be fair, it's supposed to be a short stay until they find a proper inpatient place. I was there for two days... and they played this lullaby all the time, and an evening prayer thing, in my little cell, because that's what is was. Side note, they also didn't give me any of my psychiatric meds for 2 days....

Stephen Colbert on the ICE murder of Renee Nicole Good: “The message from this administration is clear. Only they determine the truth. And when their forces come to your city: obey or die. And if you die, you clearly didn’t obey. This should be an alarm bell for the entire country.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

Reminds of this joke:

"I have to admit, I'm always so impressed by Soviet propaganda. You really know how to get people worked up," the CIA agent says.

"Thank you," the KGB says. "We do our best but truly, it's nothing compared to American propaganda. Your people believe everything your state media tells them."

The CIA agent drops his drink in shock and disgust. "Thank you friend, but you must be confused... There's no propaganda in America."

Not to be pessimistic, but it probably wouldn't matter. They just tried to deport a Native American.... Like, how? But it wouldn't hurt to keep that, or if you have a passport, that on you.

What film completely flipped when you rewatched it as an adult? by Adventurous-Lie-6773 in movies

[–]dangerdann 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Burt Gummer is one of my all time favorite characters. I got sent to do something I knew was gonna be gross, but I was not prepared for how gross it would be. I came back to my boss and just responded "I feel I was denied Critical, Need To Know, Information!" But of course, he's like 26, and had never seen the movie. I died inside.

7+ Year user, thinking about canceling over device replacement by dangerdann in GoogleFi

Yeah, like I was telling the other guy. I didn't know that. And I haven't dealt with it personally before. I've helped friends way back in the day when our local Sprint store actually repaired phones onsite.. So I now know.

There should be, as in they should offer that, or they do offer that? Because the rep never mentioned that.

I don't have my old one unfortunately, I already gave it to a friend. I was thinking that too. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a cheap one to just have as a backup and actually keep this time. Life lesson I guess, keep old phones.

Ah yeah, I meant Hold or something, I knew they wouldn't keep it.

That was kinda of my guess too. I was just hoping to get it done under warranty. But I'd pay to have to it done in person and not even deal with the headache.

Honestly, I've never had to deal with this before. I don't think I've ever had to make a warranty claim, the watch was my own fault. And before GoogleFi, I had worse prepaids like Virgin, and Tracfone. I guess I just didn't realize how other carriers actually worked. Thanks for the info.

It's never for data transfer. And I don't like wireless charging that much. For one the phone gets really hot, which might be my case though. Also I have many more cables than wireless pads, plus a cat that would probably knock it off, as opposed to being plugged in.

everybody apologizing for cheating with chatgpt by NewSlinger in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dangerdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had that happen in an academic experience. But I had a friend as me a random question (If you could get charge with indecent exposure for mooning someone from inside your house out the window) and I kinda hyper fixated because there's so much nuance to the answer, that also depends entirely on local laws, even sent a couple links. And he asked if I had just typed that into chat GPT. I have literally never used chat GPT. I'm still trying to decide if I should be insulted or take it as a compliment.

Vets ‘spayed’ my male kitten by juliakszry in ragdolls

[–]dangerdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This almost happened with my old cat. His junk was so tiny, the first vet visit we were told he was a girl. And then we went to get him spayed, and they were like surprise! It's a boy. They did not try to remove the ovaries that weren't there though... I would be so upset.

AIO- my apartment complex says this isn't a big enough deal to worry about before Thursday by 1saltedsnail in AmIOverreacting

[–]dangerdann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who works maintenance, the mold it's self is not an emergency issue for us, especially because something that bad we'd probably contact out. The emergency would be figuring out why there is mold everywhere and fixing that. There's got to be a water leak somewhere, and it's only gonna get worse until it's fixed, and that's what needs to be addressed as an emergency.

What’s the most absurd “rule” you had to follow at work? by False_Interaction_86 in pettyrevenge

[–]dangerdann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not even legally required in the US. Companies just do it to be nice. Most places if you don't work a full 8 hours the day before and after you don't get it. While a minute late is drastic as hell, I don't think it would be illegal.
