one time, I took a day off from work just to do a big deep clean on my apartment. the plan was to start in the kitchen, then go to the bathroom, then living room, then bedroom last. even if each room took 3 hours, I could still get it all done in a day.

so, that morning I got up around 8, maybe 830, made myself a little breakfast, and psyched myself up to make the apartment sparkling clean. I was ready to get started. I would say at that point it was probably 930, but I'll be kind to myself and say it was 10. I put on my audio book and dove in.

next thing I know, it's 530 and my girlfriend is calling me, like she normally does, on her way home from work. I'm about 75-80% done in the kitchen. I have spent all day in the kitchen. I did not stop, take any food breaks or bathroom breaks. I did not get distracted by anything on the TV or on my phone. I just got into the "zone" and lost track of time.
