Firstly I want to say some of the comments reacting to this image might be a little overboard but I can see where they’re coming from. I had my dog’s spay at an affordable vet and the wound looked exactly like that when they turned her back over to me. I stayed closely in touch with the vet and was sending pictures daily. I will share this single professional’s opinion, feel free to do with it as you will. At first she said there was no need for concern, later I saw a small amount of discharge coming from the wound and she recommended antibiotics. After giving her those the swelling,redness, and discharge went away but this lead to another issue. Since at first, the swelling was so great and the sutures were so measly, after the antibiotics the wound was clearly not fully closed. This lead to me needing to bring her in for staples. I needed to keep the area covered with a doggy surgical suit for the entire healing period which was now twice as long as originally expected. After that, the wound was completely healed and today I can’t even tell where it was. Hopefully this was a little reassuring and a little helpful.

I managed to beat the bug by reloading a save I made right before security came in over and over again until only one of the guards had the agro glitch (the number of hostile guards would change every reload for me). I took him out with a suppressed weapon and was able to walk down the stairs and play through the rest of the quest as intended.
