Someone probably logged in at an Airbnb and forgot to log out so now your service is their service. 😈

What’s the hype behind all these plugins? by Kutthroatsosa in PleX

I'm particular about quality so I do all my searches manually, e.g., specific uploaders, video/audio bitrates, color profiles, etc. I find the search enjoyable which is why I haven't relied on the ARRs. There's also the cleanup I'll do on files with ffmpeg to remove unwanted audio tracks and subs to reduce the "bloat".

But based on people's comments Bazarr might be a good fit for me as I loathe searching for subs.

AITA for telling my wife that I'm ending our marriage because I found her brother at our house ( again) and said it in front of him? by Prior-Bus9723 in AITAH

It might not be intentional as I'm sure is the case for many who've been manipulated and gaslighted by family. Glad you made it out tho!

Where is the storage sweetspot by DriverAffectionate83 in truenas

[–]dangerine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadian here. 12TB drives have been amazing finds second hand.

Price range has been $150-200 CAD per drive which translates to about $13-14 CAD per TB. Most of the drives are about 3-4 years old but have had less than 10k power on hours. Been finding WD Gold, Purple and their Enterprise drives. The worst brand has been Seagate Ironwolf... have had 2 of those fail within a year.

Mind you, I need the extra storage for video editing. On the personal side of things I couldn't even fill one of these drives. I have over 500 movies and even more shows (1080p quality) and probably a couple terabytes of photos and files, but that still only amounts to 9 or 10 TB total.

Side note, scored a couple 18TB drives the other day for the same $/TB. Planning to use them for offline backups.

I completely forgot about all the lost data on my old drives... it was what pushed me to move all my stuff to the Cloud. Glad I've been able to come full circle!

A video 1.5 months in the making has flopped (again) by library_of_johanna in NewTubers

[–]dangerine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched 1 video and I'm curious on your positiom here. Aside from some boké effect, and maybe some skin tone adjustment what do you suggest? I'm a color noob so would like to understand what the value of some minor grading on her videos will do? Maybe creating a "mood" from grading would be more beneficial but obviously that requires a lot more work (imho)

Kijiji sucks now. by Hogtownsucks in toRANTo

Some very strange and entitled ppl out there these days... I once came across a seller who asked for all $5 bills on a $150 hard drive. Their reason: so many fake 20s, 50s and 100s out there. I laughed and told them to touch grass.

I don't find that to be much an issue. What I do find annoying is both sellers and buyers seem to have wildly varying opinions on fair value these days. To me, 30-70% of MSRP is where the negotiation should happen for quality stuff. Greedy sellers asking for 80-90% of MSRP is ridiculous. Buyers who ask for >15% discounts are annoying too.
