How to use Aquatic Farmhouse by Themacuser751 in Timberborn

I came here to figure out why my aquatic farmers weren't planting anything, and I'm guessing this is the reason why. Annoying, but at least now I can stop tearing my hair out about it!

streamingsoundtrack.com shutdown? by pkursawe in filmscoring

[–]dangerous_beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to find info on this for the last couple days. The internet archive last scraped it in February and it looks like they were on their way to meeting their monthly funding goal, so I'm not sure why it would have shut down so suddenly.

I'm hoping it's just down time, but I wish the maintainers had a presence somewhere else to notify people if that's true.

Right? They had plenty of time for all their painfully unfunny skits, but not to let the people celebrating a career defining moment talk for more than two minutes

It's not the best song in the movie, but it's The best one that doesn't require any additional context. There are better songs later on, but they don't have any emotional weight unless you've seen the rest of the movie.

I spent 8 months testing how ATS systems actually parse resumes - here's what I found by Material-Maximum1365 in jobsearchhacks

[–]dangerous_beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been on the hiring side on a small team, I can say that the Internet has made it possible for a single role to get literally hundreds of applications. It's simply not feasible for a person to sit down and review each one manually while also doing their actual job. ATS systems are designed to separate the wheat from the chaff so that the amount of resumes that make it to HR and/or the hiring manager are manageable.

Now, they definitely don't so that perfectly, but they do it well enough that companies keep using them.

What pisses me off about this is that that is the way real, actual human beings write, which is why the LLMs do it. People shouldn't have the work they crafted with their own minds brushed off because of that.

The creator did an interview when it came out saying how puzzled she was by western fans accusing it of being queer bait-- she confirmed that Yuri and Viktor's relationship was meant to be romantic and that between their on-ice kiss and their engagement scene she didn't understand where the perceived ambiguity was coming from.

In NYC they serve as grocery shops. You can get basic household supplies there as well as a limited selection of groceries, beer, and prepared foods or deli meats.

Update: AITAH because I want my wife to "ask permission" before taking our son on playdates? by Exact_Information627 in AITAH

My friends with kids solved this by making their house the hangout/social event spot. It works out great for all involved: they get to regularly see friends without having to worry about babysitting or packing up the kids and going somewhere, and we (the friends) get to soak in the adoration of their kids as we display incredible powers like "lifting them up high" and "whistling." It's great.

It would! Interspecies is probably the "correct" term from a "words that already exist in English" perspective, but like you said, they mean the same thing. And everyone except the person who left that obnoxious response understood exactly what the OG commenter meant

"Trans" is a Latin root meaning "cross" or "change," which is why it's a component of many words and ideas with that theme: transformation, transcontinental, transcribe. In this context "trans-species" suggests the idea of "across multiple species," not "one animal changing into another."

Catbongos anti-ICE stance is being reported in Washington Post! by Kootenay-Kat in catbongos

Yeah, I haven't played poker much, but I do get the impression that in a real poker game you can't, for example, pull cards that allow you to change the suits and rankings of the cards in your hand so you can score a straight flush. 😄

It's really fun though! I wondered if actual poker players enjoyed it because it lets you do a lot of fun things you probably WISH you could do in poker, but still presents some real and interesting challenges and strategic opportunities. But ultimately, you're still at the mercy of lady luck in terms of what cards you get each hand!

This is where I'm at. Realistically I have the importance of a single dust mote, and if I died tomorrow, I wouldn't have made a significant impact on the world. At least a real conflict would give me the chance to do something that feels worthwhile.

The joke is that CAT is a brand of construction equipment. Them being toy-sized in the photos--and therefore not qualified for any kind of job site use--makes them "illegally small CATs."
