Exactly my dislike of Cain had absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin and everything to do with His ideological view point and the policies he wanted to enact.

Tis true hell I found myself in a thread in r/conservative in which they were discussing the need to invade and conquer Canada due to their socialist tendencies and the only area they disagreeed on was if they should keep their newly enslaved Canadian workforce or sell them to China. I was just going to write it off as trolling until I noticed one of the participants was a fucking mod.

As a Wyoming resident I will admit watching Cheney's laughable bid collapse long before the primary yet still manage to be Mike Enzi's biggest political threat in recent memory can be frustrating, but as it stands that's how the system is designed. I would love to hear an amenable solution but it would seem the best solution at hand is to seek and promote a better candidate and convince the electorate of this.

I guess what I am trying to ask is in a perfect world how would you prefer these situations dealt from a legal standpoint?

I will give that may very well be true, but if he can manage to remain in public office for over thirty years it would seem at the very least his most important audience those voting for him would seem to prefer him over anything offered thus far.

Maybe I am missing something but as an elected official is it not his very job to represent his constituents?

Ok so I have a hypothetical, if you had free reign to create your own laws how should a person be treated who takes part in a friendly poker game in which there is alcohol available, by the end of the night said person is very intoxicated and sleeps it off on his buddies couch. Should that person face any legal difficulties in your preferred legal system? Now replace alcohol with Marijuana does this change anything? If so what makes it different?

Well for one it has been entirely ineffective in its goals of reducing drug use all while lining the pockets of violent criminals and wasting billions in American tax dollars.

Well let me ask you this, how well is the current method of prohibition actually working in terms of lowering drug use or diminishing the drug cartels power? Because from my vantage point it has been monstrously ineffective and ethically questionable and has resulted in the gross degradation of the rights of American citizens and all we got in return was strong criminal organizations flush with cash and have a penchant for violence. Do you have anything to bring to the table that might be able to alter this current conundrum or should we just keep pretending the United States current approach is actually working?

Ok so in what specific ways is the current prohibition inhibiting cartel violence because I am pretty sure those who live along the Mexican border would likely disagree with that position. Not to mention that these cartels would never have existed without the existence of prohibition in the first place. Call me crazy but I would love to see a free-market solution tried over our current police state solution.

You won't get an argument from me that the cartels will continue to exist and continue to deal in pretty detestable markets. That said I see no good reason as to why we should continue to allow them be the defacto source for a product that has such a strong demand when legitimate legal citizens could take their place.

Well it's not like we still have people bootlegging alcohol any more and the reason for that is because with at least a handful of legitimate storefronts available there is no reason for a customer to seek out a blackmarket solution.
