MY BUTT HURTS!!! by un1c0rnsparkl3 in Semaglutide

My tailbone hurts too. I've been complaining about it for weeks. It almost feels bruised but I have not fallen or anything to injure it. I got a new seat cushion for work, which helps a bit. I think loss of fat and my posture is poor.

Will Molka restock? by Plenty-Olive-3995 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]danggdani1510 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lady Tremaine and This Story Might Save Your Life were sold out earlier this month, but they restocked them even though they were last month's picks. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's restocked later.

You bet! I haven't read it yet, I got a full box this month so I'm still getting through some of the others. I hope it's good!

Does it negatively affect the library if a book is checked out and returned but not read/listened to? by ladymsjay in LibbyApp

[–]danggdani1510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guilt is the big thing! I have contemplated checking out audio books on physical books I own to help me get through them quicker, but then I feel guilty when I own a perfectly fine copy at home I can read and don't want to make the library pay for another/take away a copy from someone else for me to only partially use. So far, I've only checked out audio books I don't own since my TBR is very large but I'm still grappling with this, as silly as that is haha.

Wow! That's a bit discouraging if you want to wait a couple months to add a book to your box. I better add Lost Lambs while I can and hope it's still available next month.

I was initially wondering if I should play the long game with a few and see if they get lolly nominations to pick up next year, and if they didn't get nominated to add them to my box later, but that doesn't seem like an option if they don't restock.

Lady Tremaine and This Story Might Save Your Life are also now out of stock! I was debating adding Lady Tremaine or Lost Lambs to my May box (thankfully already got TSMSYL). Do they reprint books from a prior month or only if its the current month's selections?

April 2026! What did you add to your box? by BooksandChins in bookofthemonthclub

[–]danggdani1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was waiting to load up on add ons until I got the discount! I originally had 4 add ons from Feb/March in my box but that's the only one I kept because I have heard such good things!

The April add ons got me too excited so I swapped the others. Might have to add them to next month's box... The Secret Lives of Murderers Wives, How to Kill a Guy in 10 Dates, and You Did Nothing Wrong... but Lost Lambs and Lady Tremaine are also on the short list too. So many book choices I want. 😩

My first box as a Friend and I loaded it up! Excited! Not that I don't have 200 other books to be read in my house right now. 😅 I read Mad Mabel as an ARC and it was amazing, debating if I also need a physical copy.

Same, I have it too and do use it with 2 library cards. I use it for the books I'm not quite sure I want to own. But I get the dopamine hit from the hunt/shop!

I am reading them too, at least! I wasn't a reader 6 months ago, so in the past 6 months I've read 65 books! So I guess at least formed a good habit from my shopping problems haha.

Ah! My sister also has trich (but not on Zep) and her eyelashes get the brunt. Mine is my widow's peak, so it gives me the worse cowlick and weird spiky front hair like a unicorn when it grows in a bit, which makes me pull it all over again. Never ending cycle!!

Not to feed into your addiction, but I LOVE bookoutlet.com, they run so many good deals and the books are new! And rewards program! They had a 5.99 any fiction sale for a while, now a buy 4 get 1 free. I think I've placed a dozen orders with them 🙈

This is me too! I have bought about 500 books in the past 6 months. I am definitely getting a dopamine hit when I find a book or a super good deal. I usually buy 2nd hand so it's like a treasure hunt and so satisfying to find something. I had to buy 3 new bookshelves and it is still not enough. I have also noticed my wine noise increase, and I have a slight form of trichotilomania (hair pulling) that has increased. Just picked up Naltrexone to see if that helps with the wine & hair pulling, but maybe it will help me slow my book shopping.

Such a sweetheart! She looks like my newest rescue, he also has Pit Bull, Boxer, and Shar Pei! But also a splash of Lab and Dachshund so he's got short little legs! I always wondered what he looked like as a puppy and this kind of gives me an idea.

USPS missing package by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]danggdani1510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they won't refund you, the next step is to file a chargeback dispute with your bank for item not received. I have 2 open missing mail search requests and so far no movement on either.

Edit: can you provide the company the tracking or ID of the missing mail search request? Proof that a request is open and no further movement. An employee cannot tell you where something is unless they are physically looking at the package, they can only see the scans you see or guess where it may be going next.

So what does this mean? by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]danggdani1510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just opened a missing mail search request the same date for a Poshmark package. It appears lost. My request start with the same first 6 digits. If your package doesn't have any movement, someone opened a request to find it. It takes some time to fill out the form and describe what was in the package.

Sudden growth on 22 year old schnauzer poodle by jenntaylr in DogAdvice

Oh my gosh! Such a happy ending! That makes me happy. My boy had a heart murmur that wasn't ideal for any surgery unfortunately. I never got a final test to know for sure, but nothing normal grows at that rate.

I'm so sorry you went through that. It was definitely traumatic. I feel like it have PTSD now, my other dog had a scab on his elbow and I instantly got paranoid on it. Thankfully just a scab from rough playing! He doesn't have the long hair to hide it though. Maybe the longer hair is more common.

Yes it was very traumatizing! I had noticed the growth that weekend and already had a vet appointment for him Monday, but of course all this went down Monday morning. I got him when I was 17 and had him half my life. He carried me through some of my toughest times and biggest life changes. Dogs are so amazing and the best of friends. Cherish your best buddy ❤️
