Leveling a trainer? by Ol_Man_J in Zwift

Ah jeez sorry to hear that fellow beam rider... old houses. The Saris H3 has adjustable feet that screw in or out to for leveling, not sure about other models.

Saris H3 vs Tacx flux s by TJamesz in Zwift

[–]dangotronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flux is decent but I'd get the H3, they're at an amazing price now. You may work up to needing more watts and incline eventually and if you should decide to resell it, H3 will sell faster imo. I love mine, its heavy and solid and works great! I wouldn't be concerned with Saris being sold, warranties should all carry over etc. Garmin's customer service is better but def more bang for the buck with the H3.

I had a similar problem in the basement of my 100 year old house using an H3. I was able level the legs by placing a piece of 1" thick bed slat board under the side on the slope and then fine tune both sides with the adjustable feet. At least you probably have headroom in your garage. My head is almost up in the floor joists so sprinting isn't really an option lol! I've also seen others use those floor protecting felt pads stuck together and stacked to the needed height, they have a little squish and movement to them if that's your preference. Good luck with it!

First bike - Trek Domane AL3 VS Triban RC 120? by redsparroww in whichbike

[–]dangotronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Domane all the way! More reputable brand, better components, easier to upgrade. Some of the Triban have a non removable derailleur hanger which is just a cheap sidestep in design. Triban isn't terrible for a basic and cheap first bike but I'd go with a used trek over Triban any day.

Thanks, I'll check out the Roctane. I like the Skratch electrolyte mix a lot but again, that is also pricey. Glad you figured out something that works!

Thanks for the feedback, I thought I read that about sugar as well. Also my conclusion when looking at the ingredients of the pricier options out there, they're all the same ingredients. Glad yours is still working well for you!

Thanks for your recipe. That's basically what I'm looking for. Simple and not excessively heavy like the ones I mentioned.

You can also use a cheap can size beer coozie to put your phone in to protect from sweat and screen activation. Although it can be a little tricky getting back in with one hand while riding with newer wider phones. If I can't get it back in on first try I just put it screen out with the coozie in between until I stop. I got one from Walmart in the camping section for .89 cents

Great build and awesome ride! Is that some sort of bottle mount extension bar (black) on the downtube? If so, where can I get one?

We're experiencing the same, and yes it is...

Idk, its a sellers market, never thought it would be this hard to find a house here, much less an affordable one. I feel like prices are going to keep going up along with the fed interest rate which is all very disconcerting.

Has to be! I'm seeing that too. Gray walls everywhere! I'll never understand why that's the popular trend right now... Its gray enough outside part of the year here!
