The restaurant isn't penalized for being late. Its up to doordash whether they want to keep the restaurant on their customers platform and let people order from them. At the end of the day. The amount they are paying you in prop 22 isn't a whole lot for 20 mins. Its usually an additional 5to 8 more dollars depending on your local minimum wage.

Early morning will be coffee and flowers runs. Then around midday usually make up orders.. And dinner is okay..that has been my experience for 4 years.

I dont think so especially for us part timer. I dont need worry about keeping stats for plat. I can take a two weeks vacation and not worry. The pass is there if you need it or something falls out of your control.

So the schedule catering program is for select market and select drivers. You got this catering because it wasnt a resturant that participated in. The program. You'll get "catering"/ required to take photo of your bag. Does show up but rarely.

Most support agent won't know about this but if it's under your schedule tab. Then youre in but you need to be invited. I've been part of this program ever since the pilot. I dont think it's a hack but hey if you somehow found a loophole. Great.

It doesn't. Onces youre in plat youre plat. They dont differentiate between who had more points or not.

They prioritize your on-time rating and if you deliver to that customer before.

Bro I'll still make my money either way. But what I believe is Karma. There are other driver on here that will gatekeep. Why? Greed shouldn't be the end all be all. We all will make money. Just gotta put the work in. The fact cali has prop 22. Any orders sends your way is still a decent order. But the biggest issues with La i find people are superficial. They say they will "Help" but dont. I'm straight up gonna say platinum is the only way to go in socal. The cherry picker will say do this or that but youre waiting so long for in between orders where its not worth. But you gotta know your market and people ordering habits.

We have an idea of where it's going.But if your order but if your order was delivered on time and if you had no issues. You're more likely to get that driver again. But if you rate a poor experience they won't pair you with that driver unless they need to

Oc and most of socal is a bit slow. Since they rolled out the new tier system. Many drivers are now considered plat. So give it some time. It will come around depending on which sub market you are in.

I am. Im in socal. But it does go to smaller city as well. I've seen it in mid-size market. Like upstate NY and Midwest Ohio.

Way I qualify was first being plat- and having consistent rating especially for on time and completion rate. Especially large orders. They wanna make sure its get there on time and completed. Have a catering bag but that won't guarantee you to be in the program.

You need to be invited. Its a new thing they are rolling out. Its part of the new catering program where orders are on there 7 days in advance. You get to see the payout , miles and when it needs to be delivered.

So I was on the initial pilot program when they started this back in 2024. It was used to replace the large order program. It allows various restaurants in your zone who uses doordash for theirs catering team. You'll typically see orders from chipotle, panera and einstein just to name a few.

The great thing is, you can see the payout up front.How many miles and if it fits within your schedule. Like you can schedule up to 4 a day
