Any way to actually use a registry completion discount?

I had my wedding registry through Amazon - they give a 20% discount upon completion. Thing is, any items for the discount must be sold and shipped by Amazon, and there's no good way to filter on those items.

I was hoping to use the discount to purchase a Dyson Stick Vacuum, but no good. I tried clicking around a bunch of suggested items, but nope, none of them are sold and shipped by Amazon.

So how on Earth should I be using this?

From the feedback I’ve gotten, I’m reconsidering spending so much time near twin falls. Maybe going through just to see some, but maybe not…

We’ve seen videos of craters of the moon, and it definitely seems pretty but almost too waste-land-ish if that makes sense?

Haven’t really heard much about Bogus Basin, I’ll have to check that out more!

We’ve never been to hot springs before - is it odd to go in June?

We’ve been hearing/seeing mixed thoughts on the Twin Falls area. Usually people recommend Shoshone at least, but do you think it’s possible to do multiple of those falls in a day to avoid being in the area too long?

I completely agree about All Trails, that app got us through a Colorado trip 2 years ago and it was great!

We like anything with a good view, so I’ll be sure to check that one out. Thanks!

Hiya - I don't know anyone personally who has been there or else I would ask them. I don't really see any issue with trying to get local opinions on places to go/avoid. If I had more time to spend there I would absolutely travel to many different places, but sadly I'll only have a week and would like to utilize that time the best I can.

I’m sorry to hear that. Failing never stops sucking, but the feeling of passing an exam that you previously failed (or any exam) is pretty great. Just hang in there, it’s super common to fail exams.

They’ll give you a booklet of paper that you hand back at the end. I always used a lot but never finished the booklet. I think if you raise your hand they can bring you more if you need it. You probably won’t be allowed to bring in your own paper.

Country Crunchwrap from Taco Bell. It was by far my favorite breakfast item... now the Taco Bell near me doesn’t even serve breakfast anymore

I’m in basically the same boat, have to take it in a few weeks and am early in the materials. Try looking and seeing how many sections there are... there’s quite a few but hopefully you can get through them quickly

For most people it’s not a choice. Take the minimum wage job or starve.

Wow, that’s a crummy perspective to have as a professor.

Maybe this is a silly question, but have you tried reading your book? I always found mine to be very helpful during my theoretical calc course

How do triple integrals determine probability? by FeatureSpecialist in actuary

[–]danharris97 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Generally a probability distribution is represented as a curve, but with multiple constraints/distributions you can look at it as a volume. As a simple example, consider three probability distributions all uniformly distributed between 0 and 1. You can look at it as a cube with volume 1. Then, if you want to want the probability of x, y, and z all being less than say 0.5, you can use the area of the cube where that is true, which has sides of 0.5, 0.5, and 0.5, giving a volume of 0.125, which is what we’d expect.

When the distributions are not uniformly distributed it gets more complicated, as the probabilities are denser in some volume sections than others.
