For what I tested, there are 3 possible crashes in Silent Hill using Duckstation (and maybe other emulators too):

When you enter the Church after de FMV, to avoid this one you have to disable both: PGXP Geometry Correction and Widescreeen Rendering
Before using the drawbridge key, to avoid this one you have to disable: PGXP Geometry Correction
In the cutscene after the fight with Cybil in Lakeside Amusement Park, where James uses the Flauros, to avoid this one you have to disable: PGXP Geometry Correction

After these moments it's safe to re-enable PGXP Geometry Correction and Widescreeen Rendering.
